Goldie/Sunny D As you can tell from the photos, Goldie is settling in very well, and loves to cuddle and be near us, whatever we are doing. As far as the name goes, Goldie does fit him pretty well - maybe if you spell it Gold Dee it would be more masculine. Our other favorite name for him at this point is Sunny D, or just Sunny. He figured out the litter box with no problem, and he has been eating well. He is skittish when we first come in the door from work - he tends to hide in the closet until he is sure it is us, and that our monster bikes aren't going to attack him. But once he feels comfortable again, he follows us around, rubs up against our legs, purrs, rolls on his back to have his belly scratched, and is in short just what you could hope for from a sweet cat. He does seem older than two though - he is very sedate, and he seems to be stiff when he bends around to lick himself. Maybe he is still sore from the surgeries though. He has been amazing with our rats - he occasionally watches them, but never in a predatory way. And he even lets them run right up to him and sniff him all over without offering to harm them at all.
