Abby

Abby

Hi! I'm Abby! I was rescued in Stockton, CA.

I'm a gorgeous torbie girl with ticked tabby fur. My coat is very short and sleek and I don't shed much. My fosters think I might have some Abyssinian or Bengal mix in me based on my look and personality.

Not to brag but I've got an amazing personality to match my looks!

I'm incredibly confident and adaptable. Once I arrived in my foster, I got busy and befriended my new humans and explored everything. Within hours, I was completely comfortable and settled in.

I'm very playful, active and curious. I'm a bundle of energy! I like to follow you around and do zoomies in the house. I'm a big fan of toys. Anything I can hold down and do bunny kicks with, or kick around like a soccer ball. And I can never resist batting at wand toys!

I'm an affectionate purr machine. I love my humans so much that sometimes I start purring as soon as I see them or get close to them. I have a super powerful purr motor built inside of me - you've got to hear my loud purrs in person!

I'm loyal. My first night with my foster humans, I already slept on their bed and guarded them in their sleep. Don't know why humans have to sleep for so long but I must protect them from predators!

I’m looking for a furever person or family who's ready for a kitty with a big personality. Hopefully you'll have time to play with me because I sure enjoy lots of companionship and interactive play time.

You can see more of me in my foster home here @dj_capy_.

Ali

Ali

Hi! I'm Ali!  I was adopted as a kitten but sadly was returned to GMS because my person passed away. I was previously adopted with my brother Pierre but we talked about it and we agreed we'll both be happier if we go our separate ways.

I’m a very pretty and very sweet kitty, or as my foster human says, a total sweetheart. I was nervous when I first arrived in my foster home but even though I was scared, I couldn’t say no to pets. I was even making lots of biscuits while purring loudly from the comfort of my kitty cave. Now that I’m feeling more comfortable, I’m coming out from my safe place to explore and say “hi”.

I also find comfort in food, but in a cute and healthy way. When I receive pets and am happy and purring, I’ll go eat a few bites of food and my foster human thinks it’s so endearing. Now let’s talk about Churu treats. Wow!! Where have they been all of my life? I’ll happily hop up onto your lap and love you forever for a Churu!

I love receiving scritches on my face and I’ve mastered the elevator butt. I rub myself on furniture and my humans while purring when I’m a happy girl. Something else that makes me happy is being all warm and cozy. I’ve already found the purrfect spot next to the heater and my foster humans even put a kitty heating pad on my bed… squee! When things quiet down I hop up to the top of my tree and observe my kingdom from up high.

I’ve been slowly opening up to playtime and the wand toy has peaked my interest but my need to play isn’t what it used to be. Pets, food, and warm cozy spots are more appealing to me these days but I do have a bit of a playful side that comes out now and then.

I’m looking for a quieter home with a patient family who understands it will take me time to fully open up. I will be happiest as the only kitty in my forever home but am open to living with another kitty as long as the kitty is mellow and kind. I have so much love to share and I can’t wait to meet my new family and settle into my forever home!

Ashley

Ashley

Hi! We’re Ashley and Slippers, an energetic pair of bonded siblings searching for our forever home. We enjoy doing everything together - from racing up and down our cat tree to observing birds and wildlife in action from our window. When we’re ready to wind down, we stretch out on the bed or cuddle up inside our cozy cave to nap and recharge. We love playing with our foster mom and our favorite games are anything that involves leaping up into the air to catch the feather wand toy!

We’re dreaming of our ideal forever home with someone who spends time at home hanging out and playing with us. Our foster home has resident cats who have been welcoming and curious while we explore. After exploring, we always run back to our foster room for playtime. We’ll thrive in a relaxed environment with routines and a balance of interactive playtime, relaxation to recharge, and some independence to explore our new furever home.

I’m a beautiful gray tabby with gorgeous green eyes that are highlighted with white eyeliner. I’m shy about being pet and picked up, but am learning every day to enjoy physical affection from our foster mom and her friends just like my confident sister, Slippers, who is outgoing and begs for pets. Our foster mom learned quickly that I’m a sucker for Churu treats and will lick them up from her hand while being pet on my head with a fuzzy pom pom wand. She uses the wand to help me appreciate how wonderful pets feel and it works! I love sitting at the top of my cat tree and by the windows to birdwatch and I have lots of fun playing with the feather, spring, and snake toys. I’m curious about my surroundings so you’ll find me exploring and observing my foster mom and resident kitties. I’m looking for someone who will be patient and will continue showing me how fabulous it is to be loved on and pet as much as my sister.

You can see more of us in our foster home. Just click here @ashley_and_slippers to go to our Instagram account.

BeBop

BeBop

Hi! We're BeBop and PacMan (but our foster human calls us BB and Paco for short)! We were surrendered when our previous person was about to become homeless due to medical reasons. She was so worried about our safety and didn't want us to end up in a shelter where who knows what would have happened to us. We were sad seeing her worry so much about us because we knew all of the stress wasn't helping her health. When Give Me Shelter agreed to help us find a new family she was so relieved, and so were we!

I’m a goofy, curious and confident boy. I immediately adjusted to my foster home and have shown no fear of anything!  I have lots of energy and I love to play fetch even though I never return the toy… hehe. I love chasing mice toys, running up and down the long hallway, playing with string toys and making humans laugh when I leap up in the air. I can become a bit restless when I’m bored so I really need a family who will dedicate time to playing with me and who will switch up my toys to keep things interesting.

I’m more independent than my best furiend PacMan but this doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy cuddles. I’ll curl up on your lap for some nice chin scratches and sleep there for hours if you’ll let me.

We’re extremely sweet, loving and easy-going best furiends who are looking for a home together. We both love human companionship and can't wait to meet our forever family. Maybe you’re the purrfect family for us!

Binx

Binx

Hi! I'm Binx! I was rescued in Tracy, CA. I was left behind when my previous family moved but lucky for me a neighbor found me... whew!

I’m incredibly friendly, playful, confident (except around very loud noises), social, and I can’t forget to mention handsome! I really enjoy the company of humans and want to be near them as much as possible. I love being around them so much that if I’m ever in a room with the door closed while humans are in another room, I’ll call out to them until they open the door so I can join the group. But I don’t need a closed door to use my voice, I’ll strike up a conversation with you when the mood is right. At night I like to sleep and cuddle with humans and I’ve been known to tuck myself into bed with them in the middle of the night without them even knowing. Oh, and I like to be picked up and carried and will politely let you know when I’m ready to be put down.

I have lots of playful energy and love to run around and chase my toys. I’ll pounce on them or jump up in the air to catch them with gusto! One of my favorite toys is the laser, especially when that tricky little red dot goes up the wall. It’s so much fun jumping up to catch it! Sometimes you’ll find me hanging out in the bathtub and guess what… in an instant tub time can turn into playtime if you throw a ball in there with me, I’ll go crazy for it! Toys with ribbons and strings aren’t that interesting to me. As a matter of fact, I have more fun chewing on them and trying to eat them (which I’m told is a no-no) than playing with them so they only come out when my humans are watching.

I have a big appetite and really love my wet food meals a lot so I'm meal fed to make sure I stay at a healthy weight. I’ve even been treated to yummy raw food! I might be allergic to lamb but this hasn’t been an issue since most wet foods don’t have lamb. I also love my super yummy treats! Churus and Tiki Cat Crunchers are my current favorites. But why stop there because human food looks good and smells delicious too. I sometimes try to sneak a taste of human food when I see an unattended plate or a freshly cooked in pan. My success rate is very, very low but if the temptation is there, I’m probably going to try.

Yes, I’m food motivated but I’m also very, very smart. I know a lot of tricks such as spin, up, and sit. I’m also quick to figure out food puzzles and how to open drawers.

Some other things I really love are being brushed - I’ll even groom you by licking your hand while you brush me, hanging out in high places - like on a tall cat tree, chin scritches and butt pats.

I’m looking for a fun and affectionate family. Oh and I really need a friendly and playful furiend in my forever home to keep me company. I’ve spent time other kitties and have even hung out with calm and friendly dogs. I’m full of purrsonality and I can’t wait to share it with my new family!

Cadbury

Cadbury

Hi! We're Cadbury and Hershey! We were rescued in Doha, Qatar. We were rescued from a colony where a caring human was feeding us and other kitties. She fell in love with us and knew we needed to get off the streets and into a safe and loving home so she took us to a sanctuary where we flourished and showed just how pawsome we are. Then we went to a doctor to be vetted and that’s when they found out we’re FIV+. Unfortunately humans in Qatar think differently about FIV+ cats than they do here in the US. Even knowing how amazing we are, our rescuers knew it would be difficult finding a home there and they worried we might end up back on the streets if in the wrong human hands.

We’re extremely handsome, super sweet, very loving and generally calm kitties, although we do have a playful side too! When we first arrived we immediately came out of our carriers to check out things and say hello. I was a tad bit nervous when I first came out of my carrier but after exploring the room a few times, I began asking for pets. After we had a chance to stretch our legs after our long flight and receive some love, it was time to head to our foster home! Yay!

We were excited to greet our foster human and check out our foster home when we got here. We settled in nicely and now we’re having such a great time playing, receiving lots of attention, and finally being able to relax and not worry about the dangers and uncertainties we faced when we lived on the streets. This indoor lifestyle is incredible! We get to play chase and tag, eat lots of yummy food and relax with our human. I like to sit by our human’s feet while Hershey likes the higher spots so it works out purrfectly for everyone. And while we both love receiving attention, especially in the morning, we never compete for it.

We’re looking for a home together, preferably with a multi-human family so we can receive extra love and attention. We traveled a long way to find our forever home and are so excited to finally have a family to share our love!

Concerned about me being FIV+? There's lots of informative reading material online to free you of any worries. I can live a long healthy life and safely with other cats, meow. Here's one website that offers some important information - Best Friends - FIV FAQs

Carlito

Carlito

Hi! We're Carlito and Fofo! We were rescued in Shasta County.

Our foster humans call me Lee-lee for short and I’m the “big brother”, not because I’m older but rather because I’m bigger in size. Our foster humans joke that I hogged all of the nutrients in our mama’s womb. Maybe that’s why Fofo tries to steal my wet food, he’s getting his revenge… hee hee.

I’m the more affectionate brother and will ask for pets by rubbing up against our humans. And once I’m feeling more comfortable I’ll even throw in some licks. I’m a purrer. Sometimes I’ll even start purring when humans look at me. I love being around humans and will find them in the house so I can be near them. And when guests come over, I’m always a gracious host and will hang out with them.

I also have a playful side, maybe not as playful as my brother but I like to think I can sometimes match his energy level. Stringy toys are my favorite and will even tackle some shoelaces when our foster humans are putting on their shoes. And being that Fofo is so animated, he’s super fun to play with. We love to wrestle, chase each other, and play hide and seek.

After a good play session or after eating a big meal, we like to groom each other, snuggle up and snooze the afternoon away. And when it’s our human’s bedtime, we’re right there with them on the bed. I like to be right by their side but not in an intrusive way. As a matter of fact, we’re told we have terrific bed manners and they love sharing their bed with us.

If you’re looking to add two sweet brothers with lots of purrsonality to your family, you should apply to meet us!

Dusty

Dusty

Hi! We're Dusty and Mouse! We were rescued at ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic in Stockton, CA.

I’m an affectionate kitty with the purrfect balance of playfulness and calmness. I’m a bit cautious and shy in new environments but it doesn’t take me long to warm up, especially with the help of Mouse. She’s a very confident kitty and is an excellent mentor.

I’m more mellow than Mouse but this doesn’t mean I don’t love to play. I just like to have some “me time” during the day and recharge with a nap, often in a different room or up high on a perch or cat tree before hanging out with Mouse and my humans. Once I’ve rested and recharged, I’m ready for love and play.

I’m all about affection! I love receiving pets and belly rubs, and I purr loudly to express my happiness and cravings for more pets. My playful side typically comes out later in the day. I love to play with toys, wrestle with Mouse and ride out my zoomies. We have lots of toys in our foster home and it takes me a little longer to let loose and REALLY play with them but that doesn’t mean I’m not having tons of fun while loosening up!

We’re looking for a home together with a family who’s fun and loving, just like us!!

You can see more of us in our foster home here @dusty_and_mouse and in our previous foster home @foster_cat_daddy.

Fofo

Fofo

Hi! We're Fofo and Carlito! We were rescued in Shasta County.

I may be smaller than my brother in size but I’m the more confident and spunky brother. I’m super energetic and playful. Our foster humans have this really fun feather wand toy I love to play with and of course wrestling and playing chase with my brother is always loads of fun too! I get so excited about playing with toys and our foster humans tell me I’m not allowed to play with certain toys when they aren’t around because I sometimes chew on them a little too much but I’m fine with this because there are plenty of other fun toys to keep me entertained!

I like to say Fofo is my name and playing is my game, well playing and food... tee-hee! I love food and I get excited when it’s mealtime. My canned food is so yum yum yummy, and human food looks really yummy too. Sometimes I pretend I’m a ninja and try to steal a bite of my foster human's food but they're teaching me this is a no no. Shucks.

After a yummy meal there’s nothing I enjoy more than snuggling up with Carlito so we can groom each other and take a nice, long nap. Speaking of snuggling, we both love to sleep on the bed with our humans, and I’ll even sneak under the covers if you’ll let me. Our foster humans tell us we’re excellent bed kitties and they love sharing the bed with us.

I’m not as forthcoming with affection as my brother is in the beginning but this doesn’t mean I don’t love humans and receiving attention. I really enjoy receiving nose scritches and purring while receiving pets, I'm just not as outgoing or super demanding of attention until we’ve gotten to know each other better.

If you’re looking to add two sweet brothers with lots of purrsonality to your family, you should apply to meet us!

Leo

Leo

Hi! I'm Leo, an orange tabby with a cute wrinkled whisker and a ton of love to give. I was found in Lathrop as a stray, but luckily, I was taken care of by some really nice people. Since I'm so loving, charming, and gentle, they asked Give Me Shelter to find a forever home.

I can be a little shy at first in a new environment and may hiss at you a bit from my cat cave, but don't mind me because I don't mean it! Once I realized that my foster parents are here to help me, it didn't take long for me to turn into an orange purr machine. My foster dad says that I purr so loud he can feel my entire body vibrate. Once I'm more comfortable with you and the environment, I'll run to you for pets and even explore new areas of the home. If you hit the right spot under my chin, I might even start drooling. I let my foster parents know I'm happy by rubbing against them and showing them how fluffy my belly can be.

I enjoy food, but what I enjoy even more is a string toy. I could spend the entire day chasing after a string toy. I'm really good at catching the string toy and playing a little tug of war with you. Once I win the tug of war (as I always do), I'll bring the string toy back to my safe space to make sure it doesn't escape from me.

I have a foster brother at my current foster home, and I have to tell you that I'm an amazing little brother! I'm never aggressive with my foster brother, and I'm always available for a little wrestling when he challenges me. He helps me explore new areas of the home, and we chase each other around for fun up and down the stairs.

I'm looking for a quiet home with pawrents and a kitty furiend who will help me come out of my shell. It might take a little work, but trust me, my purrs and loving personality will melt your heart.

You can see more of me on Instagram @natti.to.

Lila

Lila

Hi! We're Lila and Marlon! Give Me Shelter rescued me a couple years ago after I was found in Tracy, CA. Marlon and I were adopted by a pawsome man who loved us so much but sadly he unexpectedly died. We were heartbroken. Now that we’ve had some time to process everything, we’re ready to find our new family!

I’m an adorable tuxedo with a plush coat made for petting and a darling white ring of fur around my tail and a white tip to top it off. I’m initially shy but my sweet purrsonality quickly emerges because I love humans.

Marlon and I are like two peas in a pod. We’re mellow, confident, easy-going, and lovable kitties. We’re both snugglers and love to be by our person. We’ll be by their side whether we’re relaxing on the couch or sleeping on the bed. We also have curious and playful sides. We like to be in the middle of things and will be right there to investigate what’s going on. We’ll even contribute to the action when we can.. hee hee.

We’re looking for a forever home together and we can’t wait to meet them so we can start cuddling!

Lucy

Lucy

Hi! My name is Lucy! I was found with three other kitties in a parking lot in Tracy, CA.

I’m an adorable Tortie with very subtle Tortie markings. Humans often mistake me for a mini panther when they first see me but when they notice the sprinkles of cute Tortie markings, they realize I’m a mini Tortie panther… hehe.

Sometimes I can initially be a little shy in new environments but it doesn't take me long to reveal my sweet, confident and loving purrsonality. When I’m in a new place, I prefer a calmer environment in the beginning while I explore my new surroundings and get to know my humans. Once I’m feeling comfy, I love to play, bask in the sun by the window and rub up against my human for attention.

I get along well with other kitties and love playing with and snuggling with them. I do need a furiend in my forever home so I don't get bored, preferably a confident and playful kitty like me.

I’m looking for a family who will give me a little time to settle in and adjust to my new home so I can show you my true purrsonailty. If you're looking for a fun and loving kitty you should apply to meet me!

Miles

Miles

Hi! I'm Miles! I was rescued on the streets in San Francisco as a kitten. I was previously adopted but the other kitty who was already living there bullied me. I was so sad because I always got along really well with other kitties in the past and I even get along with the kitties I live with now in my foster home. I really don’t know why he picked on me but I do know it wasn't easy for me.

I’m initially shy in new environments but it’s understandable after living on edge in my previous home and tiptoeing around the other kitty not knowing when I might need to run and hide. When I first arrived in my foster home I looked for any place where I could hide because I didn’t know where I was or who was here. I’ll admit it, I was scared. I managed to find a few places where even my foster human didn’t think to look but once she realized I’m a Houdini, she made sure to secure the places where she didn’t want me hiding. It took me some time to relax and realize no one was going to bully me here and now I’m feeling more like my usual kind and lovable self.

I’m a handsome, sweet, mellow, and gentle kitty. I love receiving attention from my humans and also enjoy companionship with mellow, easy-going furiends who don’t need to be the alpha kitty. I’ve already made a furiend here in my foster home and we occasionally cuddle up together in a bed, he’s very sweet like me. Although I’m laid-back most of the time, I do have a playful side too. Whether it’s tapping a mouse between my paws or chasing a wand toy, I do like to play now and then.

I’m looking for a quieter home with a patient family who understands I’ll need some time to feel safe and secure before I begin opening up. I'll be happiest in a mature family that will respect my need for gentle love and if you have a chill kitty who would like a chill furiend that would be great!

I had a really hard time living with a kitty who did everything to intimidate me but that’s all in the past. I’m ready for a fresh start with a family whom I can love furever!

Mouse

Mouse

Hi! We're Mouse and Dusty! We were rescued at ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic in Stockton, CA.

I’m a confident, curious, playful and affectionate kitty, and I might be petite in size but I’m extra large in purrsonality.

I was out of my carrier the second our foster humans opened it because I was excited to meet them and I’m always ready to check things out. Nothing hinders my curiosity and confidence, not even the vacuum cleaner! Our foster parents kept an extra eye on me in the beginning so they could remind me where I was and wasn’t allowed… hee hee. I’m the more confident one and I help encourage Dusty in new environments. He isn’t a really shy kitty, he just needs a gentle nudge and I’m the purrfect kitty to do it!

I have lots of energy and am always excited to play! I’m having lots of fun playing with Dusty, our foster human, and all of the neat toys here. It didn’t take me long to figure out how to play with all of the toys so I guess you can add smart to my list of impressive purrsonality traits.

I’m also very affectionate. I was headbutting and asking for love the first week we arrived. I like to snuggle up for a snooze next to our foster humans and/or Dusty and although I’m not a lap cat yet, I always love being around Dusty and my humans.

We’re looking for a home together with a family who’s fun and loving, just like us!!

You can see more of us in our foster home here @dusty_and_mouse and in our previous foster home @foster_cat_daddy.

Nelly

Nelly

Hi! I'm Nelly! I was found on a street near a hair salon in Oman , likely abandoned. I was begging for attention and trying so hard to get indoors because I was scared and just wanted to be anywhere as long as it was indoors. Being on the streets was taking its toll on me. Not only did I have a bad cold and an eye infection, but I was also malnourished and walking with a limp. I was in bad shape but I had a strong will to survive. My hope and determination paid off the day my rescuers found me and took me off the streets to get me the medical help I needed. With the help of my rescuers, doctors and foster human I’m now feeling great! It isn’t easy finding a safe and loving home in Oman and I had been waiting a whole year but now I’m here in the United States and I’m super excited!

I’m a beautiful, confident, chill, social and affectionate kitty. I love human companionship and spending time with humans and will even walk up to humans I don’t know to say “hi”. I like to cuddle up right next to humans, especially for pets because physical touch is something I crave and cherish. I have an adorable and sweet meow to politely ask you for pets or just to chat in general when you’re in the mood. Oh, and I do like to play now and then and will pounce for a wand toy.

I’m a very adoring and lovable kitty looking for a loving family and a safe home. I can’t wait to share all of my love with my new family!

PacMan

PacMan

Hi! We're PacMan and BeBop (but our foster human calls us Paco and BB for short)!

I’m a gentle, chatty and cuddly boy who loves spending time with humans I’ll follow you around the house, be your little shadow, and greet you with soft meows when you come home. Whether I’m striking up a conversation with my sweet chirps and meows or cuddling up next to you and showing off my biscuit making skills and loud purrs, I’m not shy about expressing my love for humans. I’m also extremely playful and immediately want to play when you bring out any type of toy… and I can play for ages. If I’m ever feeling bored and you're not able to play with me, don’t worry, I’ll happily entertain myself by watching birds or playing with my toys or with my best furiend Bebop.

My favorite daytime activity is cuddling up with Bebop on the couch, and my favorite evening activity is cuddling with my humans. I’m genuinely the sweetest and cuddliest cat ever! There is no such thing as too many pets or cuddles for me!

I’ve settled into our foster home and am feeling comfy but when I first arrived I was slightly skittish and fearful of large items and loud noises. It didn’t take me long to get used to my new environment and settle in however I do still sometimes get scared when I hear loud plastic bags and the vacuum cleaner, but I am a cat after all.

Oh and one more thing, I am a bit overweight as you can probably tell by looking at my photos so I would really like my forever family to continue helping me lose a bit of weight.

We’re extremely sweet, loving and easy-going best furiends who are looking for a home together. We both love human companionship and can't wait to meet our forever family. Maybe you’re the purrfect family for us!

Palmer

Palmer

Hi! I'm Palmer! After being with my previous family my entire life, I was surrendered because I'm not really tolerant of children and there was a toddler in the home. I was sad and heartbroken but lucky for me Give Me Shelter is helping me find a new family!

I’m a handsome, social and confident cat. I was immediately comfortable when I first arrived in my foster home and even let my foster human pick me up and hold me. Resting my front paws on my human’s shoulder and nuzzling my head into their chin and neck while being held makes me feel so loved. And I love receiving pets although for me, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. I can sometimes become a bit over stimulated when I’m held for too long or pet for too long and will give a gentle nip to let you know when I’ve reached that point if you haven’t already picked up on my cues.

I’m a social cat and enjoy meeting new humans. I’ll run to the door to say hello when I hear someone and sometimes the neighbors stop and chat with me. Being the social cat I am, I have lots of fun playing with my foster human. The fleece wand toys are my favorites but I also fun playing by myself with some of my other toys. And although I'm a mature cat, I sometimes still get random bursts of energy and will run around and up and down my kitty tower which makes my foster human laugh. I’m also quite curious and I know it’s such a stereotype but I can be demanding when I want a closed door to be open. But don’t worry, my curious nature doesn’t translate to being impolite. I don’t wake up my foster human at night or jump onto counters or other places I shouldn’t be just because I’m a curious cat.

I’m looking for a loving adult-only family and a forever home where I can be the one and only kitty of the house. I was with my previous family my entire life and it was a bit traumatic for me when I lost them and my home. I need a patient family who understands this and who will give me some time to bond with them. I know my family is out there and I can't wait to meet them!

Pinky

Pinky

Hi! We're Pinky and Simon! We were rescued in Stockton, CA.

My brother and I have very similar purrsonalities and are told we’re like two peas in a pod. We like to take things a bit slow in the beginning because trust takes time but we really help each other out in this department.

I’m an adorable Tuxedo girl with an adorable meow to match. I was a bit more nervous than my brother when we first arrived but watching him open up helped me do the same. When I saw him out and about around of our foster human, I knew it was safe to join him.

I’m a foodie but not a picky one. Food is a great motivator for me and a pawsome way to help build trust. And don’t forget the treats! Especially those yummy squeezable treats… hee hee. Our foster human caught onto my love for food quickly and knew giving me pets while I ate would help me learn to trust her. Now I greet her with a happy tail when it’s mealtime and will happily eat treats from her hand.

Then the toys came out! I didn’t jump in right away but I did make it clear I was very interested in playing. I always have fun playing with my brother and now I’m having fun playing with our foster human too! The toys that wave through the air and bounce around taunting and challenging me to catch them are lots of fun. I climb up our cat tree to get them and hide in cubbies so I can jump out to show off my hunting skills.

We’re looking for a patient family who understands some kitties need a little extra time to open up and reveal their true purrsonalities. We purromise your patience will be worth the wait!

Simon

Hi! We're Simon and Pinky! We were rescued in Stockton, CA.

My sister and I have very similar purrsonalities and are told we’re like two peas in a pod. We like to take things a bit slow in the beginning because trust takes time but we really help each other out in this department.

I’m a very handsome Tabby boy with a white bib and mittens to match. I was a bit more confident than my sister when we first arrived so I helped show her we didn't need to hide and that we were safe and could explore our new place.

I’m a foodie, just like my sister. Mealtime was a great way for our foster human to interact with me in the beginning. My hesitations vanished when my meal appeared and I happily ate in front of her. Then she began giving me nice pets while I ate and that was super nice. But you know what’s even better? Yummy treats! They’re extra super nice! I love those tube treats and the crunchy ones I can eat out of her hands.

I’m having lots of fun playing with Pinkie, our toys and our foster human. It took me a little time to jump in and begin playing with our foster human but my sister really helped me out in this department. Seeing her let loose and play with our foster human showed me I didn’t need to be wary of joining in. My sister is still so much better at jumping and batting the wand toys but I’m starting to get the hang of it now that I understand the game.

We’re looking for a patient family who understands some kitties need a little extra time to open up and reveal their true purrsonalities. We purromise your patience will be worth the wait!

Slippers

Slippers

I’m a stunning Siamese Snowshoe Chocolate Point mix with a cream body and socks and a chocolate brown tail and face that frames my gorgeous aqua blue eyes. I’m a sweetheart and I love affection, like to talk, and love ear rubs, head rubs and back rubs!  All our foster mom needs to do is lay her palm out and I rest my head in it for rubs. Get this, I even like my front toes to be gently touched!  I don’t know if I’m a lap cat yet, but I’ve grown to love stretching out on the couch or bed next to our foster mom after play time. I now allow her to pick me up and am getting more and more comfortable with it. I have lots of fun running, jumping, and rolling around with my sister, Ashley. Our foster mom opens up our room so we get to explore the whole house, socialize with the resident kitties, and we’re mesmerized by watching the animal kingdom in action on TV.

You can see more of us in our foster home. Just click here @ashley_and_slippers to go to our Instagram account.

Teddy

Teddy

Hi! I'm Teddy!  My foster mom rescued me off the street in San Francisco on Easter night. She said she was so happy to quickly realize how sweet, gentle, and lovable I am *blush*.  I think that's why she named me Teddy - cuz I love to get cozy and cuddle just like a Teddy Bear!

I must admit, I DO love snuggling.  I will warm up to you pretty quickly and show you how affectionate I am.  Oh, and I love chin scratches and gentle pets. My foster mom loves how I roll over to show my soft white belly. Yep, belly rubs are my jam! I’m also a very vocal boy, more so than most cats you’ll meet. What can I say? I’m passionate and emotional and I like to share my thoughts and feelings - even when it may not be the ‘ideal time’ but don't worry, I make up for it by being extra cute and cuddly.

I do get a little scared around new people at first, but don't worry I don't growl or hiss - I just hide for a bit and then peek out when I'm ready to say meow meow 'hellooooo'.

I can be your one and only kitty or I can be a fun-loving playmate buddy to your resident cat.  Oh gosh, I can't wait to meet you and cuddle with you every day!

Concerned about me being FIV+? There's lots of informative reading material online to free you of any worries. I can live a long healthy life and safely with other cats, meow. Here's one website that offers some important information - Best Friends - FIV FAQs.

Timmy

Timmy

Hi! My name is Timmy! I was rescued in Escalon, CA.

I’m an extremely outgoing, affectionate and absolutely adorable kitty who just wants to be by your side at all times.

I’m very curious and I still have lots of kitten energy which always makes playtime entertaining. Whether I’m playing with my foster furiend or with my favorite toy (the amazing feather wand), I give it my all and have so much fun. And I’m always up for exploring places up high or down low, and even in if you leave a cabinet door open… hehe.

Food is also a huge love of mine. I’m still curious about human food and I’ve tried to taste my foster human’s food when she isn’t looking but she reminds me her food is off limits. That’s okay, I have my own yummy food so it’s no big deal if I’m not allowed to try hers.

Although I have lots of energy, I'm also an excellent snuggle bug. I love nestling up next to or lounging on top of my human while receiving pets and head scritches. I’m extremely snuggly and I even sleep next to my foster human in bed the entire night.

My previous "family" declawed me  when I was 4 months old because they were afraid I might scratch the baby. and as if that wasn't bad enough, then they surrendered me to a shelter because they wanted to only focus on the baby. I was shocked and heartbroken, but you know what? I'm not going to let their neglect ruin my love and trust for humans.

I’m looking for a family with fun and loving humans and a kitty furiend to play with and to keep me company. I absolutely love humans and kitties, and I know I’ll be an amazing addition to any family who’s looking for a sweet and playful kitty like me!

You can see more of me in my foster home here @stevebubbie.
