Ariel

Ariel

Ariel – The Sweet Songbird with a Playful Heart

Hi! I'm Ariel, though my foster family affectionately calls me "Ms. Purr." I always have something to say and I'm never shy about announcing when I've arrived! If you talk to me, I'll happily sing right back. Whether I'm asking for attention or reminding everyone that it's treat time, I love having little conversations with my people.

I'm currently in foster with my brother, Banjo, and I definitely make sure everyone knows if he's getting treats or attention before I am! When I'm not chatting, you'll usually find me chasing wand toys, batting around little mice, or pouncing on anything that moves. After I've finished playing, I love curling up on my favorite cozy blanket tucked behind a mirror, where I can enjoy a peaceful nap in my own little hideaway.

People often notice my luxurious, silky black coat first, but it's my gentle, playful personality that really shines once you get to know me. I enjoy gentle pets once I get to know you, and I'm looking for a family that will let me settle in at my own pace. The more comfortable I become, the more my playful personality and cheerful songs come out.

Banjo and I have a great time chasing each other around the house, but we don't have to be adopted together. I'd be happy to go home with my brother or start my next adventure with a family of my own.

I was rescued in partnership with ACT Stockton S/N Clinic, and now I'm ready to find my forever home.

If you're looking for a playful, affectionate companion who will fill your home with sweet songs, happy purrs, and lots of personality, I can't wait to meet you!

Ava

Ava – Confident, Curious, and Always Ready for an Adventure

Hi! I'm Ava, and I think life is meant to be explored. Whether it's a new room, a mysterious box, or a toy that just appeared on the floor, I'm the first one over to investigate. I'm a confident little girl who's always excited to see what's happening next.

When I'm not busy exploring, I'm all about the cuddles. I love being picked up and held, and I'm happy to soak up all the love and attention you have to offer. My foster says I'm easy to handle, making it easy to sneak in lots of hugs between play sessions.

I'm an active, playful kitten who loves chasing toy mice, batting around catnip toys, and celebrating every meal—especially if canned food or treats are involved! I have lots of energy for adventures, but I'm just as happy curling up with my people after a fun day.

Squeekie and I are foster buddies, and we've had so much fun growing up together. We'd be happy to find a home together, but if not, I'll need another young, playful cat or kitten to be my companion.

A kind rescuer in Fresno made sure we had the chance to grow up safely indoors, and now I'm ready to find the forever family I've been waiting for.

If you're looking for a sweet, confident little explorer who's always ready for fun and never says no to a cuddle, I'd love to meet you!

Banjo

Banjo – The Curious Companion Who Wants to Be Part of Everything

Hi, I'm Banjo! If something interesting is happening, you can bet I'll be there to check it out. Whether you're making dinner, folding laundry, watching TV, or working on a project, I love being part of whatever's happening. My foster family says I'm a curious guy, and they're right—I don't like to miss a thing!

I'm currently in foster with my sister, Ariel, and we have a blast chasing each other around the house, playing with toys, and getting our zoomies out together. Once we've burned off some energy, I'm happy to find a cozy little spot for a well-earned nap. I seem to have a talent for discovering the funniest places to curl up.

I enjoy gentle pets and spending time with my people, and the more I get to know you, the more my sweet personality shines. I'm always ready for my next adventure, whether that's exploring a new room, investigating a mysterious box, or simply hanging out by your side.

Ariel and I don't have to be adopted together, but we'd certainly enjoy continuing our sibling adventures if we found a home as a pair. I'd also be perfectly happy joining a family on my own.

I was rescued in partnership with ACT Stockton S/N Clinic, and now I'm ready to find my forever home.

If you're looking for a playful, curious companion who will happily keep you company through all of life's little moments, I can't wait to meet you!

Bubba

Bubba

Bubba — Your Loyal Little Shadow (With the World's Best Nap Game)

Hi there! I'm Bubba, an adorable orange tabby Manx with a tiny tail, a big heart, and a very important title: World Champion Napper. If there's a cozy blanket nearby, you can bet I'll be curled up on it, dreaming about my next snack or play session.

Before coming to Give Me Shelter, I was abandoned in Fresno. Thankfully, those days are behind me, and now I'm ready to find a forever family that will never leave me behind again.

I'm the kind of cat who loves being part of whatever you're doing. You won't usually find me sitting in your lap, but you'll almost always find me nearby. Cooking dinner? I'll supervise from a few feet away. Watching TV? I'll be lounging on my favorite cardboard scratcher. Heading to the bathroom? Yep...I'll come keep you company there too. I just like being close to my people.

I'm also quite the conversationalist. I have the sweetest little voice and love checking in with gentle chats throughout the day. Whether I'm saying hello, asking how your day is going, or simply reminding you I'm nearby, I always have something to say.

Head scratches are one of my favorite things in the world, and once you start, I'll happily lean in for more. I can be a little cautious in new surroundings at first, but once I settle in, my affectionate personality really shines.

When I'm not perfecting my nap schedule, I enjoy chasing toys, batting things around the house, and entertaining myself with a good game even when no one's watching. I'm playful, a little goofy, and full of classic orange-cat charm—just maybe with slightly better judgment than the average orange cat.

If you're looking for a sweet companion who will quietly keep you company, chat about your day, and always make sure you're never alone in a room, I think we might be the perfect match.

I was rescued after being abandoned in Fresno, and now I'm ready for the happy ending I've been waiting for. Could that be with you?

Bunny

Bunny

Bunny — A Gentle Soul Looking for Someone to Believe In

Hi, I'm Bunny.

If you're looking for the kind of cat who will steal your heart with quiet moments instead of grand entrances, I just might be your perfect match.

I can be a little shy when we first meet. New people and new places are a bit overwhelming for me, so I'll need someone who understands that trust takes time. But if you're patient and let me go at my own pace, you'll discover a sweet, sensitive boy with so much love to give.

Once I know I'm safe, my favorite things are belly rubs, gentle affection, and purring away while spending time with my favorite person. I also have a playful side that starts to shine as my confidence grows. Wand and feather toys, little mice, and fun games help bring out my happy, curious personality.

I'd love to have a confident, playful feline friend who can show me that this whole "being a house cat" thing is actually pretty wonderful. Having another cat to look up to would help me continue building my confidence and remind me that humans aren't so scary after all.

I'm currently sharing my foster home with a kitten named Claudia, who's still working on her social skills. We've become great buddies, and you'll even spot us together in some of my photos! We don't need to be adopted together, but if you happen to fall in love with both of us, let Give Me Shelter know—we'd be happy to continue our friendship and be adopted together.

Because I'm a sensitive guy, I'd be happiest in a quiet, adult-only home with someone who understands that the best friendships are worth waiting for. If you're willing to invest a little patience, I promise to reward you with purrs, belly rubs, and the special kind of bond that only comes from earning a shy cat's trust.

I was rescued in Locke, CA.

Claudia

Claudia

Claudia — Playful, Curious, and Ready to Blossom

Hi! I'm Claudia.

I'm a happy, energetic little girl with a playful spirit and a heart that's growing braver every single day.

You see, I'm still learning that hands are meant for love. Sometimes I get a little nervous about being picked up or having hands reach toward me, but my foster says I've already made wonderful progress. Every day I'm becoming more comfortable, more trusting, and more confident. I'm looking for a family that's committed to continuing my socialization journey with patience, kindness, and lots of positive experiences. The time you invest in me now will help me grow into the confident, affectionate cat I'm meant to be.

When it's time to play, though, I'm all in! Feather wand toys are my absolute favorite, and I love chasing spring toys around the house until I'm completely worn out. I'm also quite the little athlete and have become an excellent jumper. If you can't find me, don't forget to look up—I love finding the highest perch in the room so I can keep an eye on everything happening below.

The quickest way to my heart? Churu, freeze-dried chicken treats, and my favorite Fancy Feast Chicken, Beef, and Turkey pâtés. Food is definitely one of my love languages!

I also adore other cats, especially my best friend, Bunny. We've been through a lot together, and you'll often find me grooming his face or curling up beside him. We really complement each other—Bunny helps me feel braver around people, and when he's feeling shy, I have a way of encouraging him to come out of his shell. We'd absolutely love to be adopted together, but it's not a requirement. I would, however, do best in a home with another friendly, social cat who can continue helping me build my confidence.

Because I'm still working on trusting people completely, I'd thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with someone who understands that confidence takes time to build. If you're excited to celebrate my little victories, spend time playing with me, and help me continue becoming comfortable with gentle handling and being picked up, I know I'll continue to blossom.

Sometimes the most rewarding friendships are the ones that take a little patience. I think I'm worth every minute.

Elastigirl

Elastigirl

Elastigirl — Your Constant Companion for Life's Everyday Adventures

Hi, I'm Elastigirl!

I almost didn't get my second chance. I was rescued from euthanasia at Stockton Animal Shelter, where I had become a volunteer favorite. Everyone who met me knew I was a special girl, and now I'm hoping to find the family who will love me forever.

I'm the kind of cat who wants to be part of everything you do. Folding laundry? I'm there. Organizing a drawer? I'll supervise. Opening a box? I need to inspect it immediately. Wherever my people are, that's exactly where I want to be.

I'm an exceptionally calm, confident, and curious girl who's nearly impossible to rattle. Fireworks? Vacuum cleaners? Visitors? None of that bothers me much. Instead of hiding, I'm usually the first one to investigate what's going on. I also come when I'm called because spending time with my people is one of my favorite things.

I form deep bonds with the people I love. I'll happily greet you at the door with my signature enthusiastic meow and be ready to hear all about your day. At bedtime, you'll usually find me sleeping beside you—or sometimes right on top of you. While I'm not much of a lap cat and prefer not to be carried, I absolutely love gentle scratches between my ears, along my cheeks, and down my back. I'll close my eyes, lean right into your hand, and soak up every second. My biggest purrs are reserved for making biscuits on a cozy blanket while cuddled up next to my favorite person.

Playtime is where I truly shine. Wand toys are my absolute favorite, and I love chasing, jumping, pouncing, wrestling toys, and showing off my athletic moves. Interactive play is how I connect with my people, so I'm hoping to find a family that enjoys playing as much as I do. If I think you've been ignoring me for too long, I may follow you around, chat with you, or even give your ankle a gentle little tap to remind you it's time for another play session.

I'm wonderfully easy to live with, too. I'm very tidy, use my litter box perfectly, groom myself beautifully, and don't leave much fur behind. I'm not especially food motivated, although I never turn down a Churu! My favorite meals are wet food mixed with extra water into a nice, soupy consistency.

I do have a chronic upper respiratory condition that causes adorable little snuffles and noisy breathing. My rescue team even had a nasal scope performed to look for a treatable cause, but no nasal polyp was found. While you may occasionally notice a little nasal discharge, it's simply part of who I am. My happy snorts and sniffles make it extra easy to know when I'm excited to see you!

Concerned about me being FIV+? Don’t be—there’s lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you’d like to learn more, here’s a great resource from Cornell University FIV Guide.

I'd do best in an active home with plenty of everyday activity. I would likely become bored in a very quiet home, but if you're looking for a cat who wants to be your sidekick through every project, every chore, and every cozy evening, I think we're going to make a wonderful team.

I can't wait to meet you!

Rescued from euthanasia at Stockton Animal Shelter.

Faith

Mini Mia & Faith – Two Sweethearts, One Special Bond!

Hi there! We're Mini Mia and Faith, two adorable kittens with lots of love to give! We were rescued in Fresno, and now we're looking for a forever home where we can stay together. We're the best of friends, and we can't wait to find a family to call our own!

We're both affectionate little sweethearts who love being close to our humans. We're friendly with everyone, especially if you have a Churu to share! We have plenty of kitten energy and curiosity, but we're also pretty mellow for kittens. We love being picked up, enjoy cuddles, and will happily snuggle against your legs at night. We're also gentle with our teeth and claws, even when we're having fun.

I'm Faith! I'm the fearless little shadow of the duo. I love following my humans around and being involved in whatever they're doing. New places can make me a little nervous at first, but it doesn't take me long to feel right at home. I'm curious, adventurous, and extremely food motivated. Let's just say there's not much I wouldn't do for a tasty treat!

And I'm Mini Mia! I'm a little more reserved when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places, but once I feel comfortable, my sweet and playful personality shines through. I love climbing and exploring high places, and one of my favorite things to do is grab a toy mouse or wand toy and proudly carry it away. I was initially a little unsure about hands, but I've discovered that cuddles are pretty wonderful! I'm also the bigger and very patient sister, especially when Faith decides to flop right on top of me or steal a bite of my food.

One of our favorite things is playing together. We love wrestling, chasing each other, and then settling down for a good grooming session. You'll often find us curled up in one adorable puddle of kitten sweetness, fast asleep. We really are the best of buddies!

We're a bonded pair and must be adopted together. We bring out the best in each other, and with our affectionate personalities, playful spirits, and love of human companionship, we promise to bring twice the love and twice the fun to our forever home.

Could you be the lucky family we've been waiting for?

Gabby

Gabby — Playful, Chatty, and Full of Tortie Charm

Hi, I'm Gabby!

If you're looking for a cat who will keep you smiling with her playful antics, adorable little chirps, and endless personality, I just might be your girl.

I'm a beautiful tortie with lots of energy and an even bigger heart. I love to play, whether it's chasing toys, exploring every corner of the house, or finding the perfect spot to launch into my next adventure. Once I've gotten my zoomies out, I'm happy to curl up for a cozy nap—especially if there's a soft blanket involved.

One of my favorite things in the whole world is head scratches. Give me a few good scratches, and I'll happily reward you with my sweet little squeaks and chirps. I'm quite the conversationalist and love letting you know what I'm thinking throughout the day.

At bedtime, you'll usually find me sleeping at the foot of the bed. I like being close to my people and quietly keeping them company while we all get some rest.

Like many cats, I'm happiest when I can choose how I receive affection. I enjoy pets and attention on my own terms and prefer to keep all four paws on the ground instead of being carried around. My future family will understand that respecting my boundaries is just another way of earning my trust.

I also have a few favorite hideaways under the coffee table, couch, or bathroom sink. They're my cozy little retreats when I want a quiet moment before I'm ready to come back out and join the fun.

I get along well with other cats and would be happy joining a home with a feline friend. I also think I'd do just fine as your one-and-only, as long as I have plenty of playtime, enrichment, and love.

If you're looking for a playful, affectionate companion with a big personality, a sweet voice, and plenty of tortitude to keep life interesting, I'd love to meet you.

Gabby was rescued in Tracy, California.

Jasper

Jasper & Josie – Twice the Cuteness, Double the Love!

Hi there! We're Jasper and Josie, an adorable bonded pair of kittens with quite the rescue story!

It all started on the streets of San Francisco when a couple was enjoying some delicious Golden Boy pizza. Jasper caught a whiff of something tasty and came running over, hoping for a bite! That's when they spotted Josie, too. We were both hungry, scared, and hiding under parked cars. Worried we might get hit by a car, our rescuers couldn't bear to leave us behind. They brought us to safety and reached out to Give Me Shelter for help. Thankfully, Give Me Shelter said yes, and just like that, we were on our way to a better life!

Now, let's introduce ourselves! Jasper is a handsome, slightly cross-eyed Lynx Point Siamese with the sweetest expression, and Josie is a gorgeous dilute torbie with an equally irresistible face. Together, we're quite possibly the cutest duo you'll ever meet!

We're sweet as can be, and our purr motors start running before you even touch us! We absolutely love attention, playing with toys, and, of course, eating! We're especially BIG fans of wet food. After all, good food is what started this whole adventure!

We're the best of buddies and love spending time together, whether we're playing, exploring, or just hanging out. We also enjoy our little moments of independence, but at the end of the day, we're a team.

We've already had quite the adventure for two little kittens, and now we're ready for our greatest adventure yet—finding a forever home together! We're a bonded pair and must be adopted together. We promise to fill your home with purrs, playtime, laughter, and twice the love.

Trust us, whoever adopts us is going to be very lucky. And we think we'll be pretty lucky, too!

Jax – A Sweet Boy Worth the Wait

Hi! I'm Jax, and I like to take a little time to settle into new places. Once I realize I'm safe, though, my sweet personality starts to shine. Give me a little patience, and before you know it, I'll be asking for one of my favorite things in the world—chin scratches!

I'm an affectionate, easy-to-handle kitten who enjoys being picked up and cuddled once I get comfortable. I love spending time with my people, whether we're playing together or just relaxing after a fun day of adventures.

Like any good kitten, I'm active, playful, and curious. I have a blast chasing toy mice, batting around catnip toys, and investigating everything around me. Treats and canned food are always welcome, too—they're a great way to win me over!

Louie and I are foster buddies, and we've had so much fun growing up together. We'd love to find a home as a pair, but if not, I'll need another young, playful cat or kitten to be my companion.

Jazzy — A Lap Cat Looking for Her Purrfect Person

Hi there! I'm Jazzy, and if you're looking for a devoted companion who believes laps were invented just for cats, I think we might be the perfect match.

My favorite place in the whole world is curled up in your lap. I'll happily climb aboard, settle in, and ask for gentle head rubs while I purr away. Head scratches are definitely my love language! I'm not a big fan of being petted all over my body, though—I much prefer affection on my terms.

I'm a sweet, friendly girl who has been adjusting nicely to my foster home. Sudden movements can still make me a little nervous while I'm getting used to new places, but everyday household noises, like the washing machine, don't bother me at all.

I appreciate people who pay attention to my signals and understand when I'm ready for a little break from petting. In return, you'll have a loyal companion who loves curling up in your lap and spending quiet time by your side.

I'm hoping to find an adult-only home where I can be your one and only feline. I have so much love to give, and I can't wait to spend my days keeping your lap warm and your heart full.

Jolie

Jolie

Jolie – Wobbly, Wonderful, and Full of Heart

Hi there! My name is Jolie, and I may do things a little differently, but I don't let that stop me from enjoying life.

I was found as a stray and brought to Oakland Animal Services before making my way to Give Me Shelter. I have moderate cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition I was born with that makes me a little wobbly when I walk. The good news? It isn't painful, it isn't contagious, and it doesn't slow me down nearly as much as you might think. I always find my way wherever I want to go!

I'm a naturally curious girl. Once I think you're not watching, I'm off exploring every corner of the room, investigating anything new, and seeing what adventures await. I also love toys and am perfectly happy entertaining myself, though I'd never turn down a play session with you.

When we first meet, I might be a little cautious if you approach me too quickly. Give me a little time, settle in, and you'll see my confidence grow. Before long, I'll be scooting a little closer, keeping you company, and once we're friends, I'll even meow to let you know I'd like some attention. I'm also told my sploots are a perfect 10 out of 10!

One thing I know for sure—I adore other cats. I love making feline friends and would be thrilled to have a gentle, friendly cat companion who can show me the ropes and keep me company. I especially enjoy watching what the "big cats" are up to and making new friends.

I've figured out all kinds of clever ways to navigate the world. A short, carpeted cat tree is one of my favorite places because I can pull myself up with my strong little forearms and claws to enjoy the view. I'm also an A+ student when it comes to using my litter box. Once my setup is right, I'm really no more work than any other cat.

If you're looking for a sweet, resilient companion who will make you smile every day, I'd love the chance to meet you. My walk may be a little wobbly, but my heart is steady, full of love, and ready for a family to call my own.

Junipurr (Juni) – A Shy Sweetheart with So Much Love to Give

Hi there! My name is Junipurr, but you can call me Juni! I'm a sweet, gentle girl with stunning green eyes and a whole lot of love to give. I just need a little time to feel comfortable enough to show you.

I was rescued from a feral cat colony in Fresno, and I've come a long way since then! I can be a little shy when meeting new people, so I appreciate a gentle approach and a little patience while I get to know you. Once I feel comfortable, my sweet, affectionate personality comes shining through. I absolutely adore pets and attention, and I have so much love to give!

I'm a sensitive girl, so unfamiliar sounds and sudden movements can send me looking for a good hiding spot. And trust me, I'm a professional hider! But with a little patience, some tasty treats, and gentle encouragement, I'll come out to say hello. Once I know I'm safe, my affectionate side really shines.

I'm not a particularly high-energy kitty. I'd much rather curl up on your lap or settle into a cozy spot nearby and enjoy your company. I love rubbing my face against you, weaving around your legs, and soaking up all the pets I can get. When I'm feeling especially comfortable, I might even rub my face against yours and give you a few sweet kisses! I'll come when you call my name or pat your lap, too.

Did I mention I'm a purring machine? I purr constantly when I'm happy, and I make the sweetest little trills and chirps to let you know how I'm feeling.

My dream home would be a calm, quiet place where I can be your one and only kitty. I'd love a patient, understanding person who will give me the time I need to settle in. I also have some skin sensitivities, so I'm on a special novel protein diet that helps keep me comfortable and healthy.

Kora

Kora — Gentle, Playful, and Ready to Love

Hi, I’m Kora! I’m a gentle, sweet girl who can be a little shy when we first meet, but once I know I’m safe, I warm up surprisingly fast.

I have a signature head tilt that people seem to find pretty irresistible. I like to think I’m just carefully studying everything you say. Once we’re friends, head and chin scratches are absolutely the way to my heart.

I’m also an excellent companion if you like having a cat nearby without needing to be the center of attention every minute. I love curling up in the same room while you work, read, or relax. I’m happy just knowing we’re together.

Once I’m comfortable, my playful side comes out too! I love chasing wand toys and bapping balls around the room. And if you really want to win me over, treats are always a good idea. I’m very food motivated and will happily eat whatever you’re willing to give me—so you may have to be the responsible one!

I’d be happiest as the only cat in a peaceful home, although I could potentially live with a very relaxed, mellow cat who respects my boundaries. I haven’t been around children or dogs, so a calm home where I can settle in at my own pace would be best for me.

I’m a lovely mix of independent, playful, and affectionate, and once I trust you, I’ll happily reward your patience with companionship, cuddles, and plenty of my adorable head tilts.

I was rescued from Peninsula Humane Society because the shelter environment was especially difficult for a shy girl like me. Now that I’m in a foster home where I can feel safe and let my personality shine, I’m ready to find a forever home of my own.

Fostered in San Francisco.

I'm a sweet, affectionate kitten who settles into new places pretty quickly. Once I know I'm safe, my playful and curious side shines through. I love exploring, chasing toy mice, pouncing on catnip toys, and seeing what exciting things the day has in store. When playtime is over, I'm more than happy to be picked up, cuddled, and spend time with my favorite people.

I'm also a big fan of treats, canned food, and Churu—bring out a tube, and you'll have my full attention!

Miss Lizzie — Gentle, Graceful, and Waiting for Her Person

Hello, darling. I’m Miss Lizzie.

I’ve had quite the journey—my person had to move out of the country and couldn’t bring me along. It wasn’t easy saying goodbye to the only home I’d ever known, but I’m holding onto hope that my next chapter will be just as full of love.

Let me tell you a little about myself…

I’m a beautiful chocolate point Snowshoe Siamese mix, with deep cocoa markings on my face, ears, and tail, and soft white fur dotted with the sweetest little spots. I may be a senior lady, but I still have plenty of curiosity and confidence. Since I've recently lost the home I've known since I was a kitten, I may need a little time and patience to settle into a new environment. Once I feel safe, you'll see my sweet personality begin to shine.

I’m a gentle, affectionate girl with a sensitive heart. I may not fall in love with everyone the moment we meet, but when I choose my person, I love with my whole heart. I'm hoping to find someone who understands that the very best relationships take a little time to grow. If you'll be patient with me, I'll reward you with quiet companionship, soft meows, gentle nuzzles, and the kind of bond that feels truly special.

When I’m in the mood for affection, I’ll politely let you know. I might sit in front of you and give you my sweetest little meow, or reach out with the gentlest tap of my paw to remind you that I'd really love a few pets. I especially enjoy back scratches and gentle affection, and I have a wonderful purr that's reserved for the people I trust most.

I also have a sensitive tummy, so we're still figuring out the food that agrees with me best. It's a small part of my care, and with the right routine, I'm happy and comfortable.

While I’ve lived around other cats, I’ve always preferred quality time with my favorite human. I'd be perfectly content in a peaceful home where I can be your cherished companion and soak up all the love you have to give.

If you're looking for a loyal friend who will quietly become your shadow, your confidante, and your devoted companion, I just might be the girl you've been waiting for.

Love,

Miss Lizzie

Needoh – Life Is More Fun When You Explore Everything

Hi! I'm Needoh, and I have a very important job: making sure nothing exciting happens without me. The moment I walk into a room, I'm ready to investigate every corner, climb every cat tree, inspect every shelf, and see exactly what you're doing. If you're unpacking groceries, making the bed, or working on your computer, I'll be right there helping... or at least supervising!

I have lots of kitten energy and love to play. Wand toys, springs, balls—if it moves, I'm probably chasing it. Exploring the world gives me confidence, and once I realized I was safe in my foster home, I made myself completely at home. By my very first night, I was already curled up next to my foster for snuggles.

Even though I'm an adventurous guy, I'm also sweet, affectionate, and easy to handle. After I've finished bouncing around and satisfying my curiosity, I'm more than happy to settle in for some pets and cuddle time.

A kind rescuer in Fresno couldn't leave me behind to survive on the streets, so I made the journey to San Francisco to find the family I've always deserved.

I'm in foster with my buddy Noah. We don't have to be adopted together, but we'd certainly love to continue our adventures as a pair. If we don't go home together, I'll need another young, playful cat who can keep up with all my zoomies and wrestling matches. Having a feline playmate is a must for me!

If you're looking for a curious, athletic, affectionate sidekick who will make every day a little more entertaining, I can't wait to meet you.

Prince – A Gentle Soul Looking for My Second Chance

Hello! I'm Prince, and my journey to San Francisco began thousands of miles away in Qatar. I once had a family, but when they left the country, they left me behind to survive on the streets—a place I was never meant to call home. Thankfully, a kind rescuer took me in and made sure I could travel all the way to San Francisco for a chance at the forever family I've always deserved.

If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I absolutely love people. My favorite place is wherever you are! I'll happily follow you from room to room, stroll over wherever you're sitting, flop onto my side, and wait for pets. I love cuddling up next to my humans, soaking up affection, and making every visitor feel like an old friend. I'm confident, outgoing, and I've never met a stranger—I think everyone is a potential new best friend!

Even after everything I've been through, I've never stopped trusting people. I'm not mischievous or demanding. I'm just a sweet, easygoing boy who's happiest spending time with the people I love.

While I was living on the streets, I injured the area above my right eye, which left me with a scar. The good news is my eye wasn't damaged at all, and the scar is purely cosmetic. I think it just adds a little character to my handsome face!

Concerned about me being FIV+? Don't be—there's lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you'd like to learn more, here's a great resource from the Cornell University FIV Guide.

I've decided I'd really love to be your one and only feline companion. That means I get all the attention, all the snuggles, and all the love—and trust me, I'll return it tenfold.

After losing my first home, I'm hoping my next one will be forever. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will greet you with love, curl up beside you after a long day, and remind you every day just how special the bond between a person and a cat can be, I think we might be the perfect match.

Could you be the family I've been waiting for?

Samba

Samba

Samba — Chatty, Affectionate, and Full of Purrsonality

Hello there! My name is Samba, and if you're looking for a cat who has something to say, I might be your purrfect match.

I'm a beautiful, petite Maine Coon mix with a luxurious long coat, a big personality, and plenty of charm. I weigh about 10 pounds, but I have all the wonderful traits people love about Maine Coons—I'm incredibly people-oriented, communicative, and devoted to my humans.

I was originally adopted from Give Me Shelter in 2021, and while my person loves me dearly, he is moving overseas and feels such a big move would be too much for me. So now I'm looking for a new family to love.

I'm a wonderfully chatty cat who loves interacting with my people, and I'd be happiest with someone who enjoys carrying on conversations with their feline companion. I have a whole vocabulary of chirps, meows, and commentary, and I'm not shy about using it. I'm also surprisingly playful! Wand toys are one of my favorites, and I love batting around my automatic interactive toy. My curiosity and fun-loving personality keep life entertaining, and I'm always ready for a little play before settling in for a cozy nap.

Don't let my love of sunny naps fool you—I also have a playful side! Wand toys are one of my favorites, and I really enjoy batting around my automatic interactive toy. After a fun play session, you'll usually find me stretched out in a sunny window watching birds, bugs, and all the neighborhood happenings.

Most of all, I'm an affectionate girl who loves being close to my people. I'll happily snuggle in bed, curl up beside you on the couch, soak up pets and head scratches, and remind you just how special it is to share your life with a cat. Whether it's a long cuddle session or just a quick scritch on the head, I'm always happy to receive a little love.

I eat Hill's Prescription Diet z/d dry food to help keep me feeling my best, and while I don't care much for brushing, I do enjoy being pampered with a grooming glove.

If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, a playful spirit, and plenty to say, I'd love to meet you.

Love,
Samba

Sasha

Sasha

Sasha – A Survivor Ready for Her Happy Ending

Sasha's journey to finding a forever home has been nothing short of remarkable. She was discovered abandoned in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood by a kindhearted Good Samaritan who couldn't bear to leave her behind. Thin, disheveled, and missing patches of fur from a flea allergy after trying to survive outdoors, Sasha was clearly a cat who had fallen on hard times.

Her rescuer brought her to SFACC, hoping her family would come for her. Although Sasha had a microchip, no one ever claimed her. When her stray hold ended, her finder received a heartbreaking call: Sasha had less than three days to find a rescue or she would be euthanized.

Sasha was overwhelmed by the shelter and needed a dental procedure, so she wasn't a candidate for adoption at SFACC due to both her behavior and medical evaluations.

But Sasha's story didn't end there.

Her dedicated rescuer rallied friends and posted her all over social media, determined to save her life. A foster-to-adopt home stepped forward, and Give Me Shelter was able to welcome Sasha into the rescue. While everyone hoped she might adjust to sharing her home with another cat, Sasha made it clear that her dream is to be your one and only feline companion.

And honestly, she has more than enough love to fill your home all by herself.

Sasha is the quintessential lap cat. She adores curling up with her people, soaking in affection, and gently giving soft headbutts whenever she's hoping for a few more pets. She especially loves face rubs and scratches behind her ears, and she'll happily melt into your lap while you tell her what a beautiful girl she is. In fact, Sasha loves being talked to—your voice seems to comfort her, and she'll often chat right back, especially when dinner is being prepared.

Don't let her age fool you—Sasha still has plenty of playful spirit. She loves chasing string toys, wrestling with catnip toys, and exploring every corner of her home with confidence and curiosity. She's brave, adaptable, and takes everyday household activity in stride, making herself right at home wherever she goes.

Sasha is also wonderfully food motivated. Churu treats are a favorite, and after her dental, she doesn't let anything slow her down. She happily enjoys her meals and treats and is always excited when it's time to eat.

After everything she's been through, Sasha deserves a family who will never let her wonder if she's loved again. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, share your couch, and fill your home with gentle conversations and endless cuddles, Sasha may just be the perfect match.

Sasha is looking for a home where she can be the one and only pet, and in return, she'll happily give you all of her heart.

Squeekie

Squeekie – A Gentle Little Purr Machine

Hi! I'm Squeekie, and I might take just a tiny minute to get to know you—but once I do, you'll discover I'm one of the sweetest little kittens around. Before long, my purr motor starts rumbling, and I'm happily soaking up all the cuddles and attention you have to give.

Even though I can be a little thoughtful when meeting new people, I'm also incredibly curious. Once I know I'm safe, I'm off investigating my surroundings, checking out new toys, and seeing what everyone else is up to. I love playing with toy mice, batting around catnip toys, and celebrating every meal—especially when treats or canned food are on the menu!

I'm easy to handle and love being picked up and held. After a fun play session, there's nothing better than curling up in your arms while I purr myself content.

Ava and I are foster buddies, and we've had so much fun growing up together. We'd be happy to find a home together, but if not, I'll need another young, playful cat or kitten to be my companion.

A kind rescuer in Fresno made sure we had the chance to grow up safely indoors, and now I'm ready to find a forever family of my own.

If you're looking for a playful, affectionate kitten with a gentle heart and an extra-loud purr, I can't wait to meet you!

Tess

Tess

Tess — Tiny in Size, Big on Personality

Don’t let my petite size fool you—I have a whole lot of love (and opinions!) packed into this little package.

I’m a friendly, confident girl who enjoys meeting new people and doesn’t spend much time hiding. Whether you’re folding laundry, working from home, or relaxing on the couch, chances are I’ll be nearby keeping you company. I love being part of whatever you’re doing, and I’m happy to supervise your daily routine from a comfy chair or by following you from room to room.

I’m also quite the conversationalist! I’ll happily chat with you about dinner, remind you when it’s time for treats, or simply tell you about my day. And when I’m in the mood for affection, you won’t have to guess—I’ll meow, hop up to meet your hand, or climb right into your lap to collect the pets I deserve.

While I enjoy attention, I also appreciate when people listen to my cues. If I’ve had enough petting, I’ll politely let you know with a gentle paw or soft nip (never a real bite). I’m looking for someone who understands that every cat has boundaries and appreciates clear communication.

I prefer a peaceful home where I can truly relax. Loud noises aren't my thing, and I'd be happiest as your one and only feline companion. I have so much love to give that I don't feel the need to share the spotlight with another cat!

My journey hasn't been easy. I lost my home when my person was deployed, and the shelter environment at Peninsula Humane Society was simply too stressful for me. Thankfully, Give Me Shelter stepped in to give me another chance at finding the quiet, loving home I've been waiting for.

If you're looking for a loyal little shadow who will chat with you, keep you company, and happily fill your home with love, I think we should meet.

Rescued from Peninsula Humane Society.

Tucker

Tucker

Tucker — A Resilient Survivor with the Sweetest Heart

Hi, I'm Tucker.

For a long time, I didn't know what it felt like to be safe.

I survived outside by myself, where other cats constantly bullied me, chased me away from food and shelter, and left me with scratches and injuries. I was always hungry, always exhausted, and always looking over my shoulder. The saddest part? Even after everything, I still wanted people. I still wanted someone to love me.

When I eventually showed up with a badly injured front paw, my rescuers knew I couldn't keep surviving on my own.

That's when they discovered I'd originally been trapped at an encampment in Oakland and relocated through a working cat program for rodent control. Somehow, I had survived on my own for months before finally finding the backyard where someone noticed I needed help.

Thankfully, those days are behind me.

Now that I've had time to settle into a foster home, everyone is discovering what a truly special boy I am. I'm incredibly affectionate and absolutely adore head scratches, belly rubs, and spending time with my people. One of my favorite things is sneaking into bed in the middle of the night for a few quiet cuddles and gentle pats before drifting back to sleep.

I also have a wonderfully playful side. Wave a wand toy, toss me a ball, and I'm ready to play for as long as you are. As my confidence has grown, I've started exploring more of the house during the day and have even found my voice—I love chatting with my foster family when I think it's time for another play session or a little extra attention.

I'm still learning that the world is a safe place, so quick movements can surprise me. But the sweetest part is that I always come right back. Every day I become a little braver, a little more relaxed, and a little more convinced that people are pretty wonderful.

Because of my past, I'll do best with someone patient who understands that trust takes time. I also appreciate when people listen to my signals during petting. If I've had enough, I'll give you a gentle tap with my paw to let you know it's time for a little break. I'm simply learning that I don't have to be afraid anymore—I can trust my person to understand me.

One other thing to know about me: after everything I'd been through living outside, my tummy needed a little extra care. I've been eating a prescription diet while my foster family helped get my digestive system back on track, and I'm doing so much better! I'm now starting the transition back to a regular diet, though my future family should keep an eye on my tummy and work with their veterinarian if any sensitivities pop up again.

Concerned about me being FIV+? Don't be! Cats with FIV can live long, happy, healthy lives, and there's lots of great information out there to put your mind at ease. If you'd like to learn more, here's a great resource from Cornell University.

After everything I've endured, I've discovered that what I wanted all along wasn't freedom—it was a family. A warm bed. A full belly. Someone to curl up beside at 3 a.m. because I finally know I'll still be loved when I wake up.

Maybe that someone is you.
