Aslan

Aslan

Aslan — Brave, Devoted, and Overflowing with Love

Hi… I’m Aslan.

I came all the way from Oman because I didn’t have a chance at a loving home there. I was struggling to survive on the streets — sick, injured, and doing my best to make it through each day on my own.

Kind rescuers stepped in and changed everything. And now I’m here with Give Me Shelter — safe, loved, and ready for the next chapter of my life.

I’m blind, and when I first arrive somewhere new, I need a little time to learn the space and settle into the rhythm of my environment. A quiet, calm home would help me feel most comfortable. But once I acclimate? You’d be amazed at how confidently I navigate the world.

Honestly, most of the time people forget I’m blind.

I jump on and off furniture, find my favorite sunny spots, race around with my toys, and expertly map out my surroundings. I’m incredibly smart and adaptable, and I can even recognize people just from the sound of their footsteps or voices.

And I am not a quiet little wallflower.

I’m actually very chatty in the sweetest, most endearing way. I love being close to my people and feeling like part of the family. When you walk into the room, I’ll greet you with soft squeaks, gentle trills, and happy little meows that sound like tiny conversations. And if I hear people laughing or spending time together without me, I may softly call out because more than anything, I just want to be near the people I love.

And once I love you?

Oh… you’ll know.

I am one of the cuddliest cats you will ever meet. Truly. I want to be curled up with my people as much as possible. I’ll happily sit in your lap purring away, tuck my head under your chin, give headbutts and kisses, and gently place my paw on your face just to be close to you. My foster says I’m even cuddlier than their resident cat.

My purr motor is loud, soothing, and basically therapeutic. I’m the perfect work-from-home companion, couch potato, lap warmer, and emotional support orange boy.

I also love to play — especially with catnip mice. I’ll toss them around, entertain myself for long stretches, and I even sometimes play fetch. But at the end of the day, human laps will always be my favorite place to be.

I’ve been through a lot, including dental surgery and having one of my eyes removed, and I handled it all with incredible resilience and trust. My remaining eye can sense light, but I don’t have vision and rely on my hearing, memory, whiskers, and other senses to understand the world around me.

Concerned about me being FIV+? Don’t be—there’s lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you’d like to learn more, here’s a great resource from Cornell University.

Aslan means lion… and I think that fits me pretty well.

I’m resilient, deeply loving, and absolutely overflowing with affection. More than anything, I just want to be close to my people and spend my days loving them with my whole heart. One of my fosters says I’m truly one of a kind — a really special soul with a gentle, old-soul kind of presence that stays with you long after you meet me.

Come follow along on my journey, you can find me on Instagram: floofypeets.foster.

Bernie

Bernie — Big Tomcat, Bigger Heart

Hi, I’m Bernie.

My story started on the streets of San Francisco after I was abandoned and left to fend for myself. Thankfully, those days are behind me, and now I’m ready to find a loving home where I can finally settle in for good.

I’m a big, handsome tomcat with an even bigger heart. After a little time to get my bearings, I quickly showed my foster family what a sweet boy I am. I absolutely love pets and enjoy spending time near my people, whether I'm following you around the house or simply hanging out nearby.

One of my favorite things in the world is having my head brushed. The moment the brush comes out, I'm in heaven. I’m also very food motivated, which makes it easy to win me over, and I have excellent litter box manners.

I have a playful side too and enjoy toys and interactive fun. While I can sometimes be a little cautious when adjusting to new situations, my curiosity and affectionate nature always shine through. I’m comfortable being picked up, enjoy human companionship, and seem to wear a cute little smile wherever I go.

Because I can be a bit sensitive to new sights and sounds, I think I’d be happiest in a quieter home where I can continue to build my confidence and settle in at my own pace. Once I feel safe, I’m a loving companion who enjoys being close to my people and soaking up all the affection I can get.

Concerned about me being FIV+? Don’t be—there’s lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you’d like to learn more, here’s a great resource from Cornell University FIV Guide.

If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will happily keep you company and never say no to pets, treats, or a good head brushing, I just might be your guy.

Cheez-It

Cheez-It & Dorito — The Sweetest Orange Duo

Hi! We’re Cheez-It and Dorito — two rare orange tabby sisters with matching big personalities, endless curiosity, and absolutely no understanding of personal space.

As a bonded pair, we do everything together. We zoom through the house together, wrestle together, flop dramatically on top of each other together, and occasionally team up to investigate places we definitely shouldn’t be able to reach. We’re orange cats, after all. Being a little ridiculous is part of our charm.

Dorito (Short Hair)
I’m usually the first to investigate anything new. I’m adventurous, playful, and almost always ready for action. I love chasing ribbons, gazing out the window, weaving around your legs, and dramatically flopping at your feet for attention. I’m becoming more affectionate every day and have even been known to “steal” pets from Cheez-It because I simply cannot wait my turn anymore.

Cheez-It (Long Hair)
I like to take my time and observe before diving in, but once I trust you, you’ll quickly discover that I was absolutely meant to be adored. I love chin scratches, catnip, lounging on my back batting lazily at toys, and quietly keeping watch until the perfect ambush moment during playtime. I may be a little cautious at first, but once you’re accepted into my circle, congratulations — you are officially my lifelong “Pets Giver.”

Together, we’re playful, silly, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. We love attention and interactive playtime, but we’ll also need a family willing to give us a little patience as we settle into a new home. Once we feel safe, our personalities really shine.

We’re looking for a home that appreciates a little joyful orange-cat energy, plenty of play sessions, and the very special bond between two sisters who truly adore each other.

Cookie

Cookie — Professional Snuggler, Lap Lover, and Champion Chest Cuddler

Hi! I'm Cookie, and if you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who's happiest by your side, I think we might be a purrfect match.

Once I get to know you, I'm the kind of girl who will happily follow you from room to room just to be close. My favorite place in the whole world? Curled up in your lap... or even better, stretched out across your chest while you relax. I absolutely adore being petted, and I'll never complain if you want to spend extra time giving me scritches.

I'm a curious little explorer, too. I love checking out cozy hiding spots around the house and seeing what everyone is up to. I have the cutest little chirps when I want to tell you something, and they're guaranteed to make you smile.

When it's playtime, I'm a fan of feather toys, but I especially love kicking and wrestling with my favorite kicker toys all by myself. I'm perfectly happy entertaining myself before coming back for more cuddles.

I can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but give me a little time and I'll warm up quickly. One of my funny little quirks is that I much prefer people when they're sitting or lying down—it makes cuddle time so much easier!

I'd be happiest as your one and only cat, where I can soak up all of your love and attention. If you're dreaming of a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to snuggle close, keep you company, and fill your home with gentle chirps and endless affection, I can't wait to meet you.

Diamond — Playful, Fearless, and Ready for Adventure

Hi! I'm Diamond, and if you're looking for a cat who will keep you laughing, playing, and wondering what I'm going to do next, you've found her.

I'm a confident, curious girl who believes every room should be explored, every toy deserves a workout, and every person is a potential new best friend. I settled into my foster home in just a couple of days and quickly decided that being picked up, cuddled, and doted on is actually pretty wonderful.

My foster says I'm a little dog-like because I love being part of whatever my people are doing. I'm outgoing, affectionate, and always eager to join the fun. Wand toys? Crinkle balls? Springs? Mice? If it rolls, bounces, dangles, or squeaks, I'm all in. I have lots of energy and would love a home where I can enjoy daily interactive play sessions to keep both my body and my busy mind happy.

One thing that's high on my wish list? A playful feline friend! I absolutely love to play and was introduced to my foster's resident cat within my first week, adjusting beautifully. I'd thrive in a home with another young, confident cat who enjoys chasing, wrestling, and burning off energy together.

If you're looking for a confident, affectionate companion who brings excitement, entertainment, and endless fun wherever she goes, I just might be your perfect match.

Jazzy

Jazzy

Jazzy — A Lap Cat Looking for Her Purrfect Person

Hi there! I'm Jazzy, and if you're looking for a devoted companion who believes laps were invented just for cats, I think we might be the perfect match.

My favorite place in the whole world is curled up in your lap. I'll happily climb aboard, settle in, and ask for gentle head rubs while I purr away. Head scratches are definitely my love language! I'm not a big fan of being petted all over my body, though—I much prefer affection on my terms.

I'm a sweet, friendly girl who has been adjusting nicely to my foster home. Sudden movements can still make me a little nervous while I'm getting used to new places, but everyday household noises, like the washing machine, don't bother me at all.

I appreciate people who pay attention to my signals and understand when I'm ready for a little break from petting. In return, you'll have a loyal companion who loves curling up in your lap and spending quiet time by your side.

I'm hoping to find an adult-only home where I can be your one and only feline. I have so much love to give, and I can't wait to spend my days keeping your lap warm and your heart full.

Leo

Leo

Leo — Gentle Giant, Professional Cuddler, and Your New Best Friend

Hello there! I'm Leo, a 17-pound orange and white Maine Coon with a silky-soft coat, a mellow personality, and a heart that's just as big as I am.

Life threw me an unexpected curveball when my person lost their housing in San Francisco and could no longer keep me. It was heartbreaking for both of us. Overnight, I not only lost my person, but also my canine best friend. It was a lot of change all at once, but I've kept my gentle, loving spirit, and now I'm hoping for a new beginning with a family to call my own.

If you're looking for a cat who's equal parts companion and cuddle buddy, I might just be your perfect match. I absolutely adore my people and like to be involved in whatever they're doing. I'll happily follow you from room to room, supervise your day, and make sure you never forget to give me the pets I deserve. If I think you've been distracted for a little too long, I'll politely meow until you remember that I'm right there waiting for some love. Sometimes I'll even flop dramatically at your feet or hop onto your lap to make my point.

I'm also a creature of habit. When bedtime rolls around, I'll remind you that it's time to call it a night because sleeping beside my favorite human is one of my favorite places to be. And don't expect to sleep in too late—once your alarm goes off, I'll be right there making sure your day starts with plenty of Leo time. When it's time for one of my daytime naps, though, I often like to tuck myself under the bed for a cozy little snooze before I'm ready to rejoin you.

While I enjoy the occasional wand toy session, I'm much more of a laid-back gentleman than an acrobat. I'd rather spend my energy soaking up affection, lounging nearby, and keeping you company than racing around the house. I've also lived with a cat-friendly dog and have been around older children, so I already know how to be a polite and loving member of the family.

To help keep me feeling my best, I eat canned food along with a prescription urinary dry food. I had urinary crystals in the past, but they've resolved, and staying on this diet is simply part of keeping me healthy for years to come.

If you've been dreaming of a handsome, mellow companion with a luxurious coat, a sweet personality, and plenty of love to give, I think we should meet. I can't wait to find my forever home—and become your favorite furry shadow.

Lou

Lou

Lou — The Big Personality Who Just Needs Someone to Understand Him

Hi, I’m Lou.

I’m a mini panther with a huge personality, a playful spirit, and a heart that’s still hoping for a second chance.

I was rescued by a kind person who stepped in to save me after I ended up on the euthanasia list at a city shelter. She brought me home hoping to give me a fresh start, but quickly realized I’d be happiest as the only cat in the home.

The hard truth is that returning me to the city shelter would likely mean the end for me — so she reached out to Give Me Shelter to help me find the safe, understanding forever home I truly need.

Now that I’m safe in foster care, my personality is finally starting to shine through.

I’m the kind of cat who makes life interesting. I’m part cat, part sea lion — in another life I definitely lived down at Pier 39. I love water. Little droplets during shower time? Amazing. Splashing my paws in my water bowl? One of my favorite hobbies.

I’m also a proud hunter at heart. Feather toys, balls, and dramatic hallway sprints are absolutely my thing. Playtime is one of my favorite ways to bond, and once I trust you, I truly love hanging out with my humans.

And when I feel safe? I can be incredibly sweet and snuggly.

Now, I’m not trying to be dramatic… but I do have big feelings in a tiny panther body. Sometimes when I get overly excited or overwhelmed, I may give a little nip to communicate that I need some space. I’m looking for someone cat-savvy who understands that boundaries and trust go a long way with sensitive guys like me.

Because underneath all that big personality is a cat who really wants connection.

I’ll do best as the only cat in the home, where I can relax, feel secure, and be loved for exactly who I am.

If you give me a chance, I promise we’ll become the best of pals — and make lots of happy memories together in my forever home.

Malkin

Malkin

Malkin — Gentle Soul, Loud Purr, Second Chances

Hello there. I'm Malkin, and while my story didn't start the way any cat deserves, I'm hoping it has the happiest ending yet—with you.

Someone left me behind in a carrier on the streets of San Francisco. Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan found me and brought me to San Francisco Animal Care & Control. Shelter life was a little overwhelming for me, and I was feeling nervous. I also needed a dental procedure, which meant I wasn't a candidate for adoption at the shelter. That's when Give Me Shelter stepped in to rescue me. Thanks to a generous donor, I received the dental care I needed, and now I'm feeling better than ever.

My foster says I'm one of the sweetest, gentlest cats they've ever met. From the moment I arrived, I was purring while asking for pets. In fact, I have a special way of letting you know when you've stopped too soon—I might give you a little meow or gently tap your hand with my paw as if to say, "Excuse me... I believe we were in the middle of something."

I'm a professional at leaning into chin scratches, cheek rubs, and just about any kind of affection. My purr has been described as soothing enough to melt away even the toughest day.

As I've settled into foster care, my confidence has continued to grow. At first, I preferred snoozing in my cozy chair or cat tree, but these days you'll often find me sleeping at the foot of the bed. I've even discovered that laps are pretty wonderful, too.

When I'm not soaking up attention, I enjoy the finer things in life: rubbing all over my catnip carrot and banana, chasing my toy mouse on a string, and surprising everyone with the occasional burst of zoomies. I'm proof that senior cats still know how to have fun!

I've also been feeling fantastic on my novel protein diet, which seems to agree with my tummy, and I'm thriving.

All I really want is a peaceful home filled with kindness, cozy naps, playtime, and someone who doesn't mind giving just one more pet... and then maybe another.

Could that someone be you?

Marshall

Marshall

Meet Marshall — Smart, Social, and Full of Personality

Hey there, I’m Marshall—and if you’re looking for a cat with personality, intelligence, and a whole lot of love to give, I just might be your guy.

I settled into foster care like a pro. No hiding under the bed for me—I was ready to explore, make friends, and supervise everything happening around the house.

I’m playful, affectionate, smart, and endlessly curious. I love being around my people—greeting them at the door, following them from room to room, and hanging out nearby while they go about their day. I may not always be a lap cat, but I’m definitely a companion cat. If you're home, chances are I'll want to know what you're up to.

I’m also quite the conversationalist. I chirp, chatter, and meow when I have something to say, and I’m never shy about sharing my opinions. Life is more fun when there’s someone to talk to.

When it comes to playtime, I’m all in. Wand toys, fetch, cat puzzles—you name it. I’ve even learned tricks like sitting and jumping through a hoop. I’m a smart cookie who enjoys using both my brain and my energy.

Like any clever cat, I can occasionally get into a little mischief and be a wee bit naughty. I’m an active, engaged guy who likes to investigate everything, and sometimes my curiosity gets the better of me. A little guidance, plenty of playtime, and understanding my cues go a long way. Most of the time, I’m simply a lovable, entertaining cat who wants to be part of the action.

Because I’m a smart, confident guy with a big personality, I’d do best with someone who understands cats and appreciates an interactive feline companion. In return, I’ll reward you with endless entertainment, companionship, and love.

I also enjoy being the center of attention, so I’m looking for a home where I can be your one and only pet. Trust me—I have more than enough personality, companionship, and love to fill your home all by myself.

If you're looking for a smart, loyal, entertaining companion who will keep you company, make you laugh, and always want to be part of your day, I just might be your perfect match.

Love,

Marshall

Miss Lizzie

Miss Lizzie

Miss Lizzie — Elegant, Affectionate, and a Purrfect Lady

Hello, darling. I’m Miss Lizzie.

I’ve had quite the journey—my person had to move out of the country and couldn’t bring me along. It wasn’t easy, but I’ve handled it with grace (as one does). Now I’m ready to find a new home where I can truly settle in and be cherished.

Let me tell you a little about myself…

I’m a beautiful chocolate point Snowshoe Siamese mix, with deep cocoa markings on my face, ears, and tail, and soft white fur dotted with the sweetest little spots. I may be a senior lady, but I still have plenty of curiosity and confidence. Since I've recently lost the home I've known since I was a kitten, I may need a little time and patience to adjust to a new environment. Once I feel comfortable, you'll find me exploring my surroundings (and you) with confidence and curiosity.

I’m a very affectionate girl with a clear idea of how I like to love and be loved. When I’m ready for attention, I’ll let you know—I’ll sit right in front of you, give you a charming little meow, and wait for you to do the right thing (which is, of course, to pet me). I especially love a good back scratch and will happily reward you with sweet nuzzles and lots of love.

While I’ve been around other cats, I’ve never really felt the need to share the spotlight. I’d be perfectly happy in a home where I can soak up your attention and be the center of your world.

If you’re looking for a companion who is graceful, expressive, and full of quiet charm—with just the right balance of independence and affection—and you're willing to give me a little time to settle into my new chapter, I might be your girl.

Love,

Miss Lizzie

Percy

Percy — Big Boy, Soft Heart, Expert Snuggler

Hi… I’m Percy

I’ve been through a big change recently—my person had to move out of the country and couldn’t take me along. I might be a little shy when we first meet, so just give me a few days to warm up—and I promise it’ll be worth it.

In a new space, I like to find a quiet spot to settle in and take things in at my own pace. But once I feel safe, my true personality comes through…

I’m a big, handsome American Shorthair with soft white fur, bright green eyes, a dashing black patch above one eye, and a little black band around my tail. I’m also a senior gentleman, which means I’ve perfected the art of being a loving, easygoing companion.

And my favorite thing in the world? Snuggling.

Truly—there is nowhere I’d rather be than curled up with my person. If you have a lap, I will happily claim it. Quiet time together, cozy evenings, just being close… that’s what makes me happiest.

I get along well with other cats and could do well either as your one and only or with a feline friend.

I’m a big boy and will need to be meal fed a wet food diet to help keep me healthy. I do tend to get a little excited about food, so it’s easiest if I’m fed separately to make sure everyone gets their fair share. I’m looking for someone who can help me stay on a healthy routine—and the rescue will be there to support you along the way.

What I’m really looking for is a calm, loving home that will give me a little time to settle in—and then enjoy all the affection I have to give.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily keep you company and warm your lap, I might just be your guy.

Love,
Percy

Purrince

Purrince

Purrince — The Gentle Giant Who Thinks He's a Lap Cat

Hi! I'm Purrince... and yes, I know what you're thinking.

"That's a very big cat."

You're right—I tip the scales at around 14 pounds. But in my heart? I'm convinced I'm the perfect lap-sized kitty. If you sit down, there's a very good chance I'll climb into your lap, rest my head on your hand (or your feet), and settle in for a cozy cuddle.

Before Give Me Shelter rescued me from the Stockton shelter, I wasn't feeling my best. I was a favorite with the volunteers, but I was at risk simply because I had stomatitis—a painful condition that made eating uncomfortable. Thankfully, the rescue got me the dental care I desperately needed. Most of my sore teeth were removed, and now I feel so much better. These days, I'm focused on what I do best: loving people.

I'm the kind of cat who wants to be wherever you are. Folding laundry? I'll supervise. Working on your computer? I can help with that too (whether you need it or not). Walking from one room to another? I'll happily follow along. I just enjoy being part of whatever you're doing.

When it's time to relax, I'm all about the cuddles. I'll nap beside you on the couch, curl up on soft blankets and pillows, or gently headbutt your hand to remind you that pets are always appreciated. If I'm especially relaxed, I absolutely melt for a nice face massage. And from the very first day in foster care, I proved I'm an expert biscuit maker.

I'm playful too! Wand toys and little toy mice are some of my favorites, and I love stretching out on my cat tower to keep an eye on everything. Despite my impressive size, I still try to squeeze into spaces that are clearly designed for much smaller cats. My foster says I genuinely believe I'm tiny—and honestly, I don't see the problem.

I'm friendly with everyone I meet and love making new friends. I'm usually pretty quiet, unless dinner is on the way or I'm excited to see you. Like any cat, I'll politely let you know if I need a little personal space, but most of the time I'm happiest being close to my people.

Concerned about me being FIV+? Don't be—there's lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you'd like to learn more, here's a great resource from Cornell University.

If you've been dreaming of a sweet, affectionate, oversized cuddle buddy who thinks every lap was made just for him, I think we should meet.

Samba

Samba

Samba — Chatty, Affectionate, and Full of Purrsonality

Hello there! My name is Samba, and if you're looking for a cat who has something to say, I might be your purrfect match.

I'm a beautiful, petite Maine Coon mix with a luxurious long coat, a big personality, and plenty of charm. I weigh about 10 pounds, but I have all the wonderful traits people love about Maine Coons—I'm incredibly people-oriented, communicative, and devoted to my humans.

I was originally adopted from Give Me Shelter in 2021, and while my person loves me dearly, he is moving overseas and feels such a big move would be too much for me. So now I'm looking for a new family to love.

A lady never shares her age, so let's just say my records indicate I'm over 14—but that was only an estimate when I was first rescued so we don't really know my true age. My person swears I act much younger, and I have plenty of playful energy, curiosity, and opinions to prove it. I'm a wonderfully chatty cat who loves interacting with my people, and I'd be happiest with someone who enjoys carrying on conversations with their feline companion. I have a whole vocabulary of chirps, meows, and commentary, and I'm not shy about using it.

Don't let my love of sunny naps fool you—I also have a playful side! Wand toys are one of my favorites, and I really enjoy batting around my automatic interactive toy. After a fun play session, you'll usually find me stretched out in a sunny window watching birds, bugs, and all the neighborhood happenings.

Most of all, I'm an affectionate girl who loves being close to my people. I'll happily snuggle in bed, curl up beside you on the couch, soak up pets and head scratches, and remind you just how special it is to share your life with a cat. Whether it's a long cuddle session or just a quick scritch on the head, I'm always happy to receive a little love.

I eat Hill's Prescription Diet z/d dry food to help keep me feeling my best, and while I don't care much for brushing, I do enjoy being pampered with a grooming glove.

If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, a playful spirit, and plenty to say, I'd love to meet you.

Love,
Samba

Snickerdoodle

Snickerdoodle

Snickerdoodle (Snicks) — Professional Cuddle Buddy Seeking Full-Time Humans

Hi! I'm Snickerdoodle, but my foster calls me Snicks, and if you're looking for a cat who believes there's no such thing as too much affection... I think we might be a perfect match.

It only took me a few days to settle into my foster home, and once I realized I was safe, my true personality came shining through. My favorite place in the world is wherever my people are. I'll happily follow you from room to room, supervise your day, and politely remind you if you accidentally close the bathroom door without me.

I'm the kind of cat who could never get enough pets. Belly rubs? Yes, please. Head scratches? Absolutely. Gentle cuddles? The more, the better. At night, I'll curl up against your legs and sleep there contentedly until morning. I'm still discovering just how wonderful laps can be, but I already love stretching out beside you with my head and one paw draped across your lap. Every now and then, I'll surprise you by climbing right into your lap—and those moments are pretty special.

I'm a calm, easygoing guy who wins over just about everyone I meet. When visitors come over, I'll often greet them with my signature move: flopping onto my side, purring away, and soaking up every bit of attention they're willing to give. I'm also happy to be picked up and carried around, and once I've settled into a new home, I adjust quickly and don't get rattled by much.

When it's playtime, I'm surprisingly talented. My favorite game is fetch with a plastic spring. I'll bring it right back to your hand so you can throw it again—and if your throw isn't quite good enough, I'll carry it a little farther before returning it for another round. I'm a smart cookie, too. Puzzle feeders don't stay puzzling for long, and if my favorite treats aren't put away safely, I may just figure out how to help myself!

I'm very gentle with people, careful with both my teeth and claws, and I'm learning that nail trims aren't so bad—especially when treats are involved. Speaking of treats... I'm a big fan of kibble and Churu (I politely lick every last bit), and I'm great about drinking plenty of water.

I'd love a home with people who enjoy having a constant companion nearby. I also think I'd do wonderfully with another friendly cat, and if you work from home, I make an excellent coworker. I'll keep you company all day without trying to sit on your keyboard.

If you've been dreaming of a sweet, affectionate shadow who will fill your home with purrs, cuddles, and the occasional game of fetch, I can't wait to meet you.

Tess — Tiny in Size, Big on Personality

Don’t let my petite size fool you—I have a whole lot of love (and opinions!) packed into this little package.

I’m a friendly, confident girl who enjoys meeting new people and doesn’t spend much time hiding. Whether you’re folding laundry, working from home, or relaxing on the couch, chances are I’ll be nearby keeping you company. I love being part of whatever you’re doing, and I’m happy to supervise your daily routine from a comfy chair or by following you from room to room.

I’m also quite the conversationalist! I’ll happily chat with you about dinner, remind you when it’s time for treats, or simply tell you about my day. And when I’m in the mood for affection, you won’t have to guess—I’ll meow, hop up to meet your hand, or climb right into your lap to collect the pets I deserve.

While I enjoy attention, I also appreciate when people listen to my cues. If I’ve had enough petting, I’ll politely let you know with a gentle paw or soft nip (never a real bite). I’m looking for someone who understands that every cat has boundaries and appreciates clear communication.

I prefer a peaceful home where I can truly relax. Loud noises aren't my thing, and I'd be happiest as your one and only feline companion. I have so much love to give that I don't feel the need to share the spotlight with another cat!

My journey hasn't been easy. I lost my home when my person was deployed, and the shelter environment at Peninsula Humane Society was simply too stressful for me. Thankfully, Give Me Shelter stepped in to give me another chance at finding the quiet, loving home I've been waiting for.

If you're looking for a loyal little shadow who will chat with you, keep you company, and happily fill your home with love, I think we should meet.

Rescued from Peninsula Humane Society.
