Aslan

Aslan — Brave, Devoted, and Overflowing with Love

Hi… I’m Aslan.

I came all the way from Oman because I didn’t have a chance at a loving home there. I was struggling to survive on the streets — sick, injured, and doing my best to make it through each day on my own.

Kind rescuers stepped in and changed everything. And now I’m here with Give Me Shelter — safe, loved, and ready for the next chapter of my life.

I’m blind, and when I first arrive somewhere new, I need a little time to learn the space and settle into the rhythm of my environment. A quiet, calm home would help me feel most comfortable. But once I acclimate? You’d be amazed at how confidently I navigate the world.

Honestly, most of the time people forget I’m blind.

I jump on and off furniture, find my favorite sunny spots, race around with my toys, and expertly map out my surroundings. I’m incredibly smart and adaptable, and I can even recognize people just from the sound of their footsteps or voices.

And I am not a quiet little wallflower.

I’m actually very chatty in the sweetest, most endearing way. I love being close to my people and feeling like part of the family. When you walk into the room, I’ll greet you with soft squeaks, gentle trills, and happy little meows that sound like tiny conversations. And if I hear people laughing or spending time together without me, I may softly call out because more than anything, I just want to be near the people I love.

And once I love you?

Oh… you’ll know.

I am one of the cuddliest cats you will ever meet. Truly. I want to be curled up with my people as much as possible. I’ll happily sit in your lap purring away, tuck my head under your chin, give headbutts and kisses, and gently place my paw on your face just to be close to you. My foster says I’m even cuddlier than their resident cat.

My purr motor is loud, soothing, and basically therapeutic. I’m the perfect work-from-home companion, couch potato, lap warmer, and emotional support orange boy.

I also love to play — especially with catnip mice. I’ll toss them around, entertain myself for long stretches, and I even sometimes play fetch. But at the end of the day, human laps will always be my favorite place to be.

I’ve been through a lot, including dental surgery and having one of my eyes removed, and I handled it all with incredible resilience and trust. My remaining eye can sense light, but I don’t have vision and rely on my hearing, memory, whiskers, and other senses to understand the world around me.

Concerned about me being FIV+? Don’t be—there’s lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you’d like to learn more, here’s a great resource from Cornell University.

Aslan means lion… and I think that fits me pretty well.

I’m resilient, deeply loving, and absolutely overflowing with affection. More than anything, I just want to be close to my people and spend my days loving them with my whole heart. One of my fosters says I’m truly one of a kind — a really special soul with a gentle, old-soul kind of presence that stays with you long after you meet me.

Come follow along on my journey, you can find me on Instagram: floofypeets.foster.

Bernie

Bernie — Big Tomcat, Bigger Heart

Hi, I’m Bernie.

My story started on the streets of San Francisco after I was abandoned and left to fend for myself. Thankfully, those days are behind me, and now I’m ready to find a loving home where I can finally settle in for good.

I’m a big, handsome tomcat with an even bigger heart. After a little time to get my bearings, I quickly showed my foster family what a sweet boy I am. I absolutely love pets and enjoy spending time near my people, whether I'm following you around the house or simply hanging out nearby.

One of my favorite things in the world is having my head brushed. The moment the brush comes out, I'm in heaven. I’m also very food motivated, which makes it easy to win me over, and I have excellent litter box manners.

I have a playful side too and enjoy toys and interactive fun. While I can sometimes be a little cautious when adjusting to new situations, my curiosity and affectionate nature always shine through. I’m comfortable being picked up, enjoy human companionship, and seem to wear a cute little smile wherever I go.

Because I can be a bit sensitive to new sights and sounds, I think I’d be happiest in a quieter home where I can continue to build my confidence and settle in at my own pace. Once I feel safe, I’m a loving companion who enjoys being close to my people and soaking up all the affection I can get.

Concerned about me being FIV+? Don’t be—there’s lots of helpful information out there to put your mind at ease. I can live a long, healthy life, meow. If you’d like to learn more, here’s a great resource from Cornell University FIV Guide.

If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will happily keep you company and never say no to pets, treats, or a good head brushing, I just might be your guy.

Cheez-It & Dorito — The Sweetest Orange Duo

Hi! We’re Cheez-It and Dorito — two rare orange tabby sisters with matching big personalities, endless curiosity, and absolutely no understanding of personal space.

As a bonded pair, we do everything together. We zoom through the house together, wrestle together, flop dramatically on top of each other together, and occasionally team up to investigate places we definitely shouldn’t be able to reach. We’re orange cats, after all. Being a little ridiculous is part of our charm.

Dorito (Short Hair)
I’m usually the first to investigate anything new. I’m adventurous, playful, and almost always ready for action. I love chasing ribbons, gazing out the window, weaving around your legs, and dramatically flopping at your feet for attention. I’m becoming more affectionate every day and have even been known to “steal” pets from Cheez-It because I simply cannot wait my turn anymore.

Cheez-It (Long Hair)
I like to take my time and observe before diving in, but once I trust you, you’ll quickly discover that I was absolutely meant to be adored. I love chin scratches, catnip, lounging on my back batting lazily at toys, and quietly keeping watch until the perfect ambush moment during playtime. I may be a little cautious at first, but once you’re accepted into my circle, congratulations — you are officially my lifelong “Pets Giver.”

Together, we’re playful, silly, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining. We love attention and interactive playtime, but we’ll also need a family willing to give us a little patience as we settle into a new home. Once we feel safe, our personalities really shine.

We’re looking for a home that appreciates a little joyful orange-cat energy, plenty of play sessions, and the very special bond between two sisters who truly adore each other.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon — Sweet, Curious, and Ready to Be Part of Your World

Hi there! I'm Cinnamon, and if you're looking for a gentle, loving companion, I might just be your girl.

I'm the kind of cat who wants to be involved in whatever you're doing. Sometimes new things can make me pause for a moment, but my curiosity always wins. I may take a second to gather my courage, but before long I'll be back to investigate and see what all the excitement is about.

One thing you'll quickly learn about me is how much I love affection. I'll headbutt your hands, rub against your legs, and happily soak up all the pets you can offer. I've even earned the nickname "Rolly Polly" because I love flopping onto my back and rolling around until someone gives me attention. And yes—belly rubs are absolutely welcome!

I'm also a playful girl. Shoelaces are one of my favorite toys, and I love carrying around and batting my little stuffies. Lately, I've even discovered that climbing the couch is pretty fun, so I think there's a little adventurer hiding inside me that's becoming more confident every day.

No matter what's going on around me, I've always been a sweet and gentle soul. Even when I've felt scared or uncertain, I've never been aggressive. I much prefer making friends, getting pets, and being part of the family.

If you're looking for a kind-hearted companion with a playful spirit, a curious mind, and lots of love to give, I'd love to meet you.

Love,
Cinnamon

Wadiya & Jerry — The Braille Boy & His Supersonic Guide Cat

From Oman to SF, we’ve traveled over 7,000 miles to find a forever home. We are a fiercely bonded package deal, ready to bring a massive amount of love to your home.

Wadiya (The Gentle Soul)

I’ve had quite the rough start in life. I lost my sight and became FIV+ at a young age trying to survive on the harsh streets of Oman, and although I had a family before, last year my owner kicked me out and it broke my heart. After being taken in by a kind local rescuer, I spent seven months waiting for my golden ticket to the U.S.

But don’t let my past—or my lack of eyes—fool you. I am a resilient, low-maintenance, and incredibly gentle boy.

If you’re thinking, "A blind cat sounds like a lot of work," let me stop you right there! It took me just two days to master my new foster home. I have zero trouble navigating, eating, using the litter box (including the litter robot!), jumping onto the bed, or climbing up to the top level of the cat tree. There’s been zero accidents, messiness or extra support needed from my foster humans.

I’m a just low-key guy who loves soaking up the sun, loafing on the cat tree, and turning into a softly purring puddle of mush on your lap when you're available.

Jerry (The Emotional Support Alien)

They call me “Little Alien" because of my uniquely lean body, angular face, long tail, and out-of-this-world personality. I may be tiny, but I have a huge presence. I move at supersonic speed—one second I’m right next to you, and the next, I’m across the room making you do a double-take.

I may be 1 year old, but I’m a kitten at heart, with 8lbs of energy and fun. I love treats, toys of all kinds, investigating anything new, demanding attention as soon as you wake up, giving kisses to your hands, and being precisely in the middle of whatever you are doing.

But my absolute favorite job in the world? Being Wadiya’s professional hype-man and emotional support animal. When we first arrived, I would constantly run back and forth between him and our foster human, giving him headbutts and grooming his head as if to say, "Don’t worry, big brother, this human is safe!" I am his eyes, his protector, his best friend, and there’s not a day that we don’t sleep together cuddled up.

The Perfect Pair

Together, we are friendly, affectionate, playful and completely adaptable. Especially because Jerry guides the way, you honestly don't need to do anything extra to help Wadiya thrive. We just need a kind voice to tell us we’re home, a soft blanket to share, some Churu to go crazy over, and a forever person to love.

We’ve come so far and waited so long. Could you be the happy ending we've been traveling for?

Little John

Little John

Robin Hood & Little John — Double the Love, Double the Loyalty

Hi. We’re Robin Hood and Little John — a legendary duo, if we do say so ourselves. And while history might call me “Little,” let’s just say I am generously sized.

We were rescued in partnership with ACT Spay Neuter Clinic and are now safe with Give Me Shelter Cat Rescue. We were adopted as kittens once before, but life changed for our family. There was a toddler involved, and while we truly like kids (we’ll get to that!), sometimes managing tiny humans and two handsome cats is a lot. So now we’re looking for our next forever home — together, of course.

Because separating us? Absolutely not.

I’m Robin Hood.
I’m the bold one. The leader. The toy hunter. If there’s a feather wand in the house, I will find it. I’ll chase it, leap for it, and sometimes even fetch toys like a very talented (and very handsome) dog. I love to play and will happily initiate a wrestling match with my brother before curling up to groom him like the loyal sidekick I am.

I’m affectionate — very affectionate. I lean into pets. I follow you around. I’ll hop on the bed for snuggles and then settle in at the foot for movie night like I belong there (because I do).

And I’m Little John.
Yes, I’m the bigger one. I currently weigh about 18 pounds — which just means there’s more of me to love. I’m working on slimming down, so I’m on a structured meal plan and can’t be free-fed. I need a family committed to helping me stay on track and reach a healthy weight. Consistency is love, after all.

I may be a little more cautious at first, but once you start petting me? My purr turns on immediately. Loud. Rumbly. Impressive, if I do say so myself. I adore scratches and will happily melt under your hand.

Things We Both Love:

  • Being pet, scratched, and adored

  • Romping and playing together

  • Grooming and snuggling each other

  • Hopping on the bed for cuddles

  • Greeting the kids at the door after school

  • Following our humans around the house

  • Joining movie night (we prefer the cozy foot-of-the-bed seating section)

We truly love children. We come to the door to greet them, follow them around, and even hop into their beds for pets. We’re social, affectionate boys who want to be part of the action — just in a home where everything feels manageable and stable.

What we’re looking for is simple:
A family ready for double the affection, double the purrs, and double the companionship — and one that will help Little John stay healthy while letting Robin Hood keep the toy game strong.

We’ve already proven how deeply we can bond — with each other and with our people.

Now we’re ready for our next great adventure. And this time, it’s forever.

Lou — The Big Personality Who Just Needs Someone to Understand Him

Hi, I’m Lou.

I’m a mini panther with a huge personality, a playful spirit, and a heart that’s still hoping for a second chance.

I was rescued by a kind person who stepped in to save me after I ended up on the euthanasia list at a city shelter. She brought me home hoping to give me a fresh start, but quickly realized I’d be happiest as the only cat in the home.

The hard truth is that returning me to the city shelter would likely mean the end for me — so she reached out to Give Me Shelter to help me find the safe, understanding forever home I truly need.

Now that I’m safe in foster care, my personality is finally starting to shine through.

I’m the kind of cat who makes life interesting. I’m part cat, part sea lion — in another life I definitely lived down at Pier 39. I love water. Little droplets during shower time? Amazing. Splashing my paws in my water bowl? One of my favorite hobbies.

I’m also a proud hunter at heart. Feather toys, balls, and dramatic hallway sprints are absolutely my thing. Playtime is one of my favorite ways to bond, and once I trust you, I truly love hanging out with my humans.

And when I feel safe? I can be incredibly sweet and snuggly.

Now, I’m not trying to be dramatic… but I do have big feelings in a tiny panther body. Sometimes when I get overly excited or overwhelmed, I may give a little nip to communicate that I need some space. I’m looking for someone cat-savvy who understands that boundaries and trust go a long way with sensitive guys like me.

Because underneath all that big personality is a cat who really wants connection.

I’ll do best as the only cat in the home, where I can relax, feel secure, and be loved for exactly who I am.

If you give me a chance, I promise we’ll become the best of pals — and make lots of happy memories together in my forever home.

Marshall

Marshall

Meet Marshall — Smart, Social, and Full of Personality

Hey there, I’m Marshall—and if you’re looking for a cat with personality, intelligence, and a whole lot of love to give, I just might be your guy.

I settled into foster care like a pro. No hiding under the bed for me—I was ready to explore, make friends, and supervise everything happening around the house.

I’m playful, affectionate, smart, and endlessly curious. I love being around my people—greeting them at the door, following them from room to room, and hanging out nearby while they go about their day. I may not always be a lap cat, but I’m definitely a companion cat. If you're home, chances are I'll want to know what you're up to.

I’m also quite the conversationalist. I chirp, chatter, and meow when I have something to say, and I’m never shy about sharing my opinions. Life is more fun when there’s someone to talk to.

When it comes to playtime, I’m all in. Wand toys, fetch, cat puzzles—you name it. I’ve even learned tricks like sitting and jumping through a hoop. I’m a smart cookie who enjoys using both my brain and my energy.

Like any clever cat, I can occasionally get into a little mischief and be a wee bit naughty. I’m an active, engaged guy who likes to investigate everything, and sometimes my curiosity gets the better of me. A little guidance, plenty of playtime, and understanding my cues go a long way. Most of the time, I’m simply a lovable, entertaining cat who wants to be part of the action.

Because I’m a smart, confident guy with a big personality, I’d do best with someone who understands cats and appreciates an interactive feline companion. In return, I’ll reward you with endless entertainment, companionship, and love.

I also enjoy being the center of attention, so I’m looking for a home where I can be your one and only pet. Trust me—I have more than enough personality, companionship, and love to fill your home all by myself.

If you're looking for a smart, loyal, entertaining companion who will keep you company, make you laugh, and always want to be part of your day, I just might be your perfect match.

Love,

Marshall

Miss Lizzie — Elegant, Affectionate, and a Purrfect Lady

Hello, darling. I’m Miss Lizzie.

I’ve had quite the journey—my person had to move out of the country and couldn’t bring me along. It wasn’t easy, but I’ve handled it with grace (as one does). Now I’m ready to find a new home where I can truly settle in and be cherished.

Let me tell you a little about myself…

I’m a beautiful chocolate point Snowshoe Siamese mix, with deep cocoa markings on my face, ears, and tail, and soft white fur dotted with the sweetest little spots. I may be a senior lady, but I still have plenty of curiosity and confidence. Since I've recently lost the home I've known since I was a kitten, I may need a little time and patience to adjust to a new environment. Once I feel comfortable, you'll find me exploring my surroundings (and you) with confidence and curiosity.

I’m a very affectionate girl with a clear idea of how I like to love and be loved. When I’m ready for attention, I’ll let you know—I’ll sit right in front of you, give you a charming little meow, and wait for you to do the right thing (which is, of course, to pet me). I especially love a good back scratch and will happily reward you with sweet nuzzles and lots of love.

While I’ve been around other cats, I’ve never really felt the need to share the spotlight. I’d be perfectly happy in a home where I can soak up your attention and be the center of your world.

If you’re looking for a companion who is graceful, expressive, and full of quiet charm—with just the right balance of independence and affection—and you're willing to give me a little time to settle into my new chapter, I might be your girl.

Love,

Miss Lizzie

Percy — Big Boy, Soft Heart, Expert Snuggler

Hi… I’m Percy

I’ve been through a big change recently—my person had to move out of the country and couldn’t take me along. I might be a little shy when we first meet, so just give me a few days to warm up—and I promise it’ll be worth it.

In a new space, I like to find a quiet spot to settle in and take things in at my own pace. But once I feel safe, my true personality comes through…

I’m a big, handsome American Shorthair with soft white fur, bright green eyes, a dashing black patch above one eye, and a little black band around my tail. I’m also a senior gentleman, which means I’ve perfected the art of being a loving, easygoing companion.

And my favorite thing in the world? Snuggling.

Truly—there is nowhere I’d rather be than curled up with my person. If you have a lap, I will happily claim it. Quiet time together, cozy evenings, just being close… that’s what makes me happiest.

I get along well with other cats and could do well either as your one and only or with a feline friend.

I’m a big boy and will need to be meal fed a wet food diet to help keep me healthy. I do tend to get a little excited about food, so it’s easiest if I’m fed separately to make sure everyone gets their fair share. I’m looking for someone who can help me stay on a healthy routine—and the rescue will be there to support you along the way.

What I’m really looking for is a calm, loving home that will give me a little time to settle in—and then enjoy all the affection I have to give.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily keep you company and warm your lap, I might just be your guy.

Love,
Percy

Xander — A Big Journey, a Playful Heart

Hi, I’m Xander.
My life started far from here, on the streets of Qatar, where I was just doing my best to survive. I didn’t know what soft blankets, toys, or warm laps were back then—but I always held onto my joyful spirit. That big journey brought me all the way across the world, and now I’m ready for the best part yet: a forever home.

And honestly? Even my best photos don’t quite capture how striking I am in person. I’m a big boy with a long, lean frame, mostly snowy white with little touches of orange—including my adorable striped orange tail. People are always surprised by how handsome I really am when they meet me face-to-face.

These days, I’m full of energy and curiosity. Playtime is my absolute favorite thing. Feather wands? Yes, please. Small, soft balls? I’m basically a one-cat soccer team. When the zoomies hit, I’ll race around the apartment, climb, explore, and show off my athletic skills.

Sometimes, when I’m extra excited, I might give a gentle playful nibble or a soft bat as I zoom by—just my way of saying this is fun! I’m easily redirected with toys and always mean it in the sweetest way.

When it’s time to slow down, I turn into a total cuddle bug. I love cozy hiding spots and will happily snuggle under a blanket with you, purring away. I adore pets, make biscuits constantly (even while walking around), and my tiny little meow is pretty hard to resist.

I also enjoy watching birds from the window and am fascinated by the TV—though loud noises or sudden movements can still surprise me sometimes. With patience, reassurance, and a calm, loving home, my confidence grows more every day.

While I enjoy my humans very much, I’d be happiest as your one and only cat, where I can soak up all the attention, playtime, and cuddles for myself.

I’ve already traveled so far—from the streets of Qatar to a life filled with comfort, play, and love. Now I’m ready for my next chapter. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who will follow you from room to room and curl up beside you when the day is done, I just might be your Xander.
